I use 100% organic soy wax grown in the USA. Not only do I like the clean burning properties of soy, I like that it is a product made in America using sustainable and ethical farming techniques.

I don't like that the bag is 45 pounds and very heavy, but luckily Boo Boo carried this one in for me.

Congratulations to the Community Cat Connection on 20 years of helping cats, and thank you to all the volunteers that do so much to help! Boo Boo and I are thankful everyday for what they do, and for helping us find each other. We love the CCC and hope you can attend!

Just wanted to share a few exciting events coming up this weekend and next month:

This Sunday, May 19th from 1-4pm is our spaghetti and meatball dinner, held at Bush Hall! Come enjoy some delicious food, desserts, and participate in our raffle for some great prizes. Tickets are available at the CCC shelter and also for sale at the door. Come early and come hungry!

Also on Sunday June 9th, we have our 20th anniversary party, held at the CCC shelter from 1-4pm. It is in place of our kitten shower this year, to celebrate a wonderful milestone in the history of our shelter. The event will have snacks, games, raffles, and an open house to visit with our kitties. It is to celebrate our volunteers, fosters, donors, staff, and anyone else that supports the shelter.

Happy Monday! This week we have a few new kitties available, and a few that have gone on deposit. Biscuit went home, CeeCee, Chepo and Lady are all on deposit, and our new kitties are Stella and Betty.

Betty came to us from someone who helps with TNR, and noticed that she and her sister Veronica were very friendly and not like most TNR kitties. Veronica won’t be available for a while as she is on quarantine with us, but Betty is ready to find her forever indoor home! She is a sweet, petite little tabby girl who loves pets and treats. Since she came to us through TNR, we don’t know a whole lot about her but she would likely be a pretty good addition to a lot of different home environments.

Stella has had a tough life so far and is looking for a comfortable safe place that she can call her own. She was surrendered to us with her two little puffball babies who are in foster for a while longer. She has had NINE litters of kittens that we know of, and she is only FOUR years old. Thank goodness this was her last litter, so she can live out her life in peace and in a loving home where she can have all the attention to herself.

We also still have China, Smokey, Cinnamon, Cobweb & Spider, Annabelle, Chepin, Jinxy, and AJ & Tanner available for adoption. Come meet all of our wonderful adoptable kitties during open hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 12-3:30 and Saturdays from 10-1.

The basket will be available in the raffle at the Spaghetti Dinner this Sunday at Bush Hall in Webster!

Happy Monday! This week we have a few new kitties to share with you, including a pair of adorable kittens! Chepo and Biscuit are both new, and Gwen and Griffin came last week but we did not share their pictures in last week’s post. Coco went home Saturday, and Jinxy is available again for adoption.

Chepo is a big boy who doesn’t seem to like the company of other cats, so he would do best as an only cat in his new home. He is very handsome and was a kitten from a previous litter of a cat we also received and is in foster with her two new (and last!) babies. We think a quiet home with no young children would be best, as he can get overstimulated, just like many of our kitties!

Biscuit came to us as an owner surrender as she could not be cared for any longer, as no fault of her own. She is very shy but does seem to like people that use a quiet, gentle touch with her. She was rolling around and chirping at visitors when she moved into the adoption room, so that was a great improvement! She would do well in a quiet home with perhaps another friendly cat that can show her that she can be brave and seek out attention.

Gwen and Griffin are adorable, sweet, loving, and silly kittens who have spent thier life in a wonderful foster home, so they are very friendly and well-adapted. They are active, as kittens tend to be, so someone that can play with them a lot and give them all the love they deserve is a must! They are also very bonded and must be adopted together. Look at those adorable faces!!!

Come meet our adoptable kitties this week, and every week, during open hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 12-3:30 and Saturdays from 10-1. Could your home be the best fit for someone??

So many lovely kitties looking for a forever home!

Happy Monday everyone! This week’s available kitties feature a few new ones, and they are all located in what we call the ‘Shy Room’. We also have all of our kitties from last week still available, except that Cake went on deposit on Saturday! A mistake was made in previous posts, Boots is actually estimated to be about 10 years old, not 6 like we had originally thought. Milo, Cashew, Boots, Jinxy, Rocket, China, Goose & Maverick are all still available.

Smokey has been with us a few weeks getting settled in, and now that she’s moved to the shy room, she has become a totally different cat! She twirls around your legs, begging for pets, but can still get a bit overstimulated so she cannot go to a home with small children. She is super soft and a beautiful medium haired all black cat with a cute meow and gorgeous amber eyes.

Cinnamon is a gorgeous long haired calico tortoiseshell cat that needs a lot of patience and understanding from her forever family. She will come out of her shell but has struggled with human interaction since she’s been with us. She would likely do best as an only cat or with another friendly, calm cat, but most likely not dogs or small children.

Lenny was surrendered to us as an older kitten that seems to not have been properly socialized when he was a baby, and as a result can get overstimulated and upset with seemingly random events (us going to grab the litter box, petting him in certain ways, etc). For this reason, he should also not go to a home with small children. He has many extra toes and loves to be pet, but not for too long! He will need patience and care from his forever family to understand his moods and actions.

Please let us know if you have any questions about our adoptable kitties, and come make their day by visiting and giving them some love during open hours every Thursday and Friday from 12-3:30 and Saturday from 10-1!
