It's the World Champion "Pumpkin Throwing " Contest !! Right here in Nanaimo........who would have thought!!
This wonderful family friendly event is a Fundraiser for Nanaimo Hospice.
Remaining supplies donated to a great community cause.
Thank you to all who participated! You don't want ro miss this next year! What a great event. All the Bands and entertainers were amazing! The concession was fantastic! The prizes were great! And having a warm space Thanks to Triple T and united rentals made this a very warm toasty event.

The face painter really did fantastic creative images, we were all walking butterflies, spider man, mermaids, and fairies 🧚🏻♂️

The magician 🎩 was really fun, all the little ones were mesmerized by his tricks. His balloon 🎈 creations were awesome!!

This was a Fundraiser for Hospice. There were a ton of Volunteers & they were all just wonderful to work with. I was humbled to be volunteering as the Photography Director. There were also many generous Sponsors who made this event possible. It took a village of people but wow was it ever worth it. The amount raised for Nanaimo Hospice will be disclosed by the Event Coordinators soon. This is a life time pumpkin thrower! This year she will be getting a bigger pumpkin. What makes this event fair is the pumpkins are handed out fairly by our judges (Richard Johnston and Max Alarie) acording to weigth class. So everyone has a fair throw. Plus remember our grand prize is "THE SILLIEST PUMKIN THROW." So get your costumes,silly songs or do a fun dance while you throw.
Please feel free to add a photo of a loved one on our memory wall❤️This event is about remembering the loved ones we lost. They would still want us to enjoy life. They would want us to love, laugh and have fun!  And I can guarantee you this festival is fun for all ages! So please feel free to bring a photo and add it to our memory wall. I’d love to hear your “love stories.”
Jeanette has been very busy seeking out the best entertainment for her event. She has "JORDANO THE GREAT" FANTASTIC MAGICIAN AND BALLOON ARTIST, performing ! As well she has 7 incredible bands! She has the RENOWNED BELLY DANCER ANASTASIA as well! There will be an open mic 🎙 and many other exciting special guests too, you don't want to miss this fundraiser! 🎃🍁💃🍂

NOVEMBER 2, 2019. STARTS -3:00 pm .....there will be hotdogs......face painting and a canteen available....as well as lots of great performers and music by talented local musicians, to name a few...The Renowned Belly Dancer Anastasia, The Adam Stanley Band........Darian VanPardon....Danny Doel......and our very own Event Coordinator Jeanette McGonigle....and many more
Pumpkin throwing tickets will be sold from 3:00 to 4:30...there will be NO tickets sold after 4:30
-5:00 pm .....the Pumpkin Throw Starts.....there will be speeches, more live music, ....the PRIZES will be handed out to the Pumpkin throwing winners
-8:00-9:00 pm....open mic....event conclude.

We will have covered dry areas available in case it rains ** Triple T kindly donated all the tents and lights, we appreciate it very much **
wear suitable clothing for the weather. There will be no admittance to the house on the property, this is an outdoor event. Outdoor toilets will be provided. There will be an EMERGENCY only cordless phone available from the :
Medical Aide-Fire Safety Director Jason Layman.
His area will be clearly marked for you to find.
We will be recycling the pumpkins
Please bring your pumpkin
and we will recycle it
for you :-)

RULES OF THE EVENT:
-Single person human powered only
-No mechanical devices allowed
-Pumpkin throw starts at 5:00 sharp, ticket sales end at 4:30
-This is a non alcoholic event, drive responsibly.
_There is no cell service, we will provide a home phone for any needed calls
-Parents and guardians are responsible to keep their children supervised and safe at all times
-Parking at own risk
-Tickets/donations are non refundable(all proceeds go to hospice)
-Winner is determined by farthest pumpkin throw in each category.
