Long, beautiful afternoons cooking outside are the best. A simple marinade for blackened Tuscan chicken seared in the iron. Mediterranean salad and a scratch flatbread in the pizza oven. Topped with evoo and fresh mozz and bell peppers. Don’t forget a little creamy herb sauce or marinara on the side!

I haven’t felt this scrappy since I cut my first spatula out of titanium with an angle grinder.

Pleased to announce after 5 long years my first batch of locally made spatulas. I needed an economical way to heat treat to 900 degrees so…eh…pizza anyone?

Stay tuned. Might take me a bit to get the handle details worked out but heading in the right direction!

A little weekend inspiration from the to flavor collab with what we have. pulling an all afternooner with the corn/avo-onion-lantro salsa simmer iron. Squished taters, strip steaks, asparagus and sunshine to wash it all down.

Hope everyone found some joy with food and family or community this week!

While our key chains may not be the best option for cooking…they are great for getting any friends you might find along your way to where they need to go.

Like getting this little guy back to mommy without any run-ins with the jaw.

New inventory and some limited edition goods coming to the store this week!

Really excited about these hand dyed green handle covers (say that three times fast…) that came out of the shop of the .brothers

Works of art.

Stay tuned!

Working title…”tacos at twilight.”

A delicate earthy blend of New York strip with woody undertones of onion and a little nosey bell pepper. Cradled in the palm of a corn tortilla. The pièce de résistance…generic bagged cheddar cheese.

Saved from the iron char by the handsomest titanium spatula this side of the fire.

Cook with joy this weekend!

If you were scrolling too fast and thought to yourself “what a handsome steampunk pickleball paddle”, you are very mistaken.

This substantial iron press is food functional art straight from the fires of . And I love it. You should get one.

After you do though, come back and see me for the best titanium spatula your hard earned dollars can buy. It’s pretty handsome too.

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

Hypothetically, if you buy a Dryad Cookery chainmail scrubber to clean your cast iron for $10 and it lasts 10 years…that’s a cheap dirty deed.

Plus you just feel like a stalwart hero cleaning dishes with chainmail. That sense of joy, my friends, is priceless.

Pulled off a third year in a row bringing home a trophy from the Strasburg Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup festival!

A successful partnership with for the soup/sandwich combo.

Mostly thanks to for making amazing bread that lends itself well to being flipped by the best spatula to ever ring true on iron.

and co quickly being trained as grill masters this year since I was off running the event!

Black Canyon of the Gunnison was better backdrop to pick out paint swatches for the bathroom than Pinterest or the hardware store. Feel like we nailed it on the handle colors too.

Rest stops with postcard views are my favorite places to stop for fast food. Unfortunately nature kept asking “do you want flies with that?”.

The echoes of titanium sliding over cast iron made for nice ambient music though.

Good friends, good gear, good adventures. Always made better with good food through… .myers going the distance for an epic top of the falls shot!

Where are your Fall adventures taking you?

A little afternoon pick-me-up of chipotle kabobs over a fire could be the perfect bookend to most days I think.

Also a reminder of why exists. Good tools are always worth the expense when you use them everyday. Pay attention to the small moments and hold onto them. Even better if you hold onto them with titanium tongs….

I hope you experience some joy in cooking soon! Wherever your kitchen might be!

Thanks .myers for recommending the Sprinter for its soft and gentle seats on this trip.

I still like to cook outside though. Quick steak skillet on the before breaking camp for a beer stop in Telluride.

Open skies in my future.

Keep cooking!

Does a quiet, quirky cabin and quesadillas for the kids qualify as camping? With skillets and skottles?

What started off as a one skillet wonder inspiration from turned into a Frankenstein cheesesteak homage… then slowly morphed into delightfully edible sizzlin’ fajita cast iron wonderpan with more Worcestershire than pepper and enough cheese to make Wisconsin proud.

But I digress and digest. Have fun and be adventurous in all that you do. Let some tools from season your experience!

Was feeling a little burnt from the heat and burnt out from using the same flavor profiles I tend to routine.

I really enjoyed this experiment. Fresh on the palette. Jamaican jerk/soy/lime marinade for a few hours on the chicken breast. Seared in the smooth as glass skillet. Tossed with fresh lime juice and pineapple to slow cook on the grill.

Paired with grilled slices of pineapple and a little Jamaican rice/steamed broccoli/raw pineapple dish.

All of it kept steady with some finely tuned cast iron cooking utensils, of course. Who needs gloves when you have g-10 handles?

Have fun cooking!

When you ask “Where do you want to go out to eat tonight?” does not disappoint.

Balcony seating and dinner with a view all in one.

Not to mention a sweet truck with gear that won’t let you down. Ahem…titanium spatulas.

Keep cooking and being adventurous friends!

Had every intention of making a pb&j sandwich after a long weekend of camp cooking.

And then I remembered I needed to water my sad little basil plant outside. Which, in turn, reminded me of how yummy homemade Alfredo and grilled chicken and broccoli was. And it was nice outside….

Almost didn’t have to do dishes. Fortunately the wipes right out. And now there is lunch and dinner for a couple of days.

Keep up the love of scratch made food and sort of following recipes!

Dryad Cookery tools, like your favorite cast iron, are made with inheritable durability.

Thank me in 20 years when you are flipping steaks in the same spot making new memories.

Now until Sunday, all orders get a chain mail scrubber in the box. No coupon codes, just solid gear.

Shameless recipe steal from although her meatball bombs were much more elegant than my eh…meatballs in a bucket? Still super delicious though!

Homemade spicy Italian beef meatballs fried around in the iron then baked. Slices of hollowed out baguette prepped like a little garlic bread trash can and baked in tandem.

Option one…fling the meatballs with a spoon from across the room like a sloppy three-pointer into the bread.

Option two…grab your favorite titanium tong and drop them gently into your little garlic nest and cover with mozzarella and bake in the roaster.

And devour. Save some for leftovers.

Feeling a little worn out and made an easy skillet tonight. Snapped a pic so the internet remembers.

Little tater discs with a sweet and spicy rub. Halved bell peppers stuffed then topped with fresh mozza.

Delicately hoisted from the roaster with the finest titanium tongs you could ever put in your kitchen. Or truck. Or backpack.

My first attempt at a Dutch Baby was a visual fail but a flavor win.

If you have a recipe send it my way. All the savor flavors came out great though. I topped it with a sweet and savory blend grilled chicken from .1868 and onion/peppers (of course?) then a final quick broil with cheddar and a homemade pesto cream sauce. Can’t wait for another attempt! Felt great to cook outside again.

Happy cooking! The sweet sweet ring of titanium on cast iron doesn’t hurt!
