I'm still learning how to skin and tan the creatures I find that have passed. This photo is of my first ever carpet python skinning process I've done by myself.

I can't quite explain the different emotions that ran through me during this time but to say the least it was intense for me.

Many of you don't know this about me but I have worked for environmental organisations for the past 4 years now and I am a dedicated lover of animals and earth. This jewellery is my ode to the creatures and the nature that I am so lucky to live among💚
~
I have a deep fascination of snakes that coincides with a strong fear of them resulting in recurring dreams and sometimes nightmares.
~
My curiosity towards serpent energy always seems to bring signs and show up in the midst of huge changes and big shifts in my life and I am so grateful to have this connection and to share it with you all through my art🙏🏼

A new perspective on life, art and your surroundings arise🌿 The last two weeks have been some of the toughest days I've had to face.

Losing our oldest and one of our closest friends Cocka has brought a hollow heart to me and my partner. Yet through this time and our mutual love for bones jewellery I have found a way to stay with Cocka.

Through creating amulets as an ode to this cyclic nature of life, I have found some peace amongst the turmoil and the grief and am so honoured to soon share with you, my latest collection inspired by my friend and someone I saw as family🖤
