Costas Zissis Photography

Mt. Nemërçka or Mt. Merope/Dousko/Nemertsika (means the sleeping lady in old slavic) in Greek and Vjosa river or Aoos river in Greek, in South Albania, close to the Greek border. The elevation ranges from about 250 m. above sea level at the river until almost 2.500 m. at the mountains highest peak, here. There is hope for a joint Greek-Albanian environmental protection scheme in the river areas in both countries, according to recent news.
