Our church is again the collection center for shoeboxes for the Batesville and Independence County area for the Operation Christmas Child project the week of November 18-25. Those wishing to drop off filled shoeboxes can do so at our fellowship hall during these hours:

Nov. 18: 10am-4pm
Nov. 19: 10am-2pm
Nov. 20: 11am-2pm
Nov. 21: 10am-2pm
Nov. 22: 10am-2pm
Nov. 23: 11am-1pm
Nov. 24: 1pm-4pm
Nov. 25: 8am-10am
The shoeboxes will depart our church for the regional center at 10:00am on Monday, the 25th. Please make sure that all shoeboxes are here before 10:00am on the 25th.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Country music star Tyler Childers is set to bring his tour to Simmons Bank Arena in the Little Rock metro area on Sunday, April 6, 2025, with a show starting at 8 p.m. Special guest Cory Brana will join Childers for the concert.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m., with prices ranging from $49.50 to $199.50. Fans can look forward to more country music acts at Simmons Bank Arena in 2025, including Justin Moore, TobyMac, and Rascal Flatts, who are set to bring their "Life is a Highway Tour" to the venue.

ASH FLAT, Ark. – A Sharp County jury has sentenced 64-year-old Terry Woodstock Long of Ash Flat to 560 years in prison after finding him guilty on 14 counts of r**e. The conviction and sentencing, reported by the Spring River Chronicle, reflect the community’s determination to hold individuals accountable for child s*x crimes.

Long, convicted of multiple counts of r**e—a Class Y felony in Arkansas carrying a minimum sentence of 25 years per count—received a 40-year sentence for each charge, with each term to be served consecutively. The jury required just one hour to deliberate on Long’s guilt and an additional 20 minutes to issue the maximum sentence for each count.

Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Devon Holder advocated for the maximum penalty, arguing it demonstrated the community’s commitment to prosecuting child s*x offenders. Judge Rob Ratton upheld the jury's decision, ordering the sentences to run consecutively, resulting in a 560-year prison term for Long.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Wrestling fans and beer enthusiasts in Little Rock are in for a treat as WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is set to appear in the capital city next week for Real American Beer Night. The event will take place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Revolution Music Room.

Hogan will introduce his Real American Beer brand to the Little Rock crowd, accompanied by music from special guest DJ Mike Poe.
