Congratulations to the MCB Team representing Sri Lanka Law College for emerging Winners at the APIIT Law School International Negotiation Competition (ALSINC) ’24!

The Team is comprised of Dinithi Gunathilaka and Ruwin Mapa and was coached by Sadiyah Reyal, Partner, and Fathima Salihah, Chief Administrator at the MCB.

They now prepare to take part in more international mediation and negotiation competitions in the coming months!

In addition to all of his accolades, Dr. Gunawansa was also listed in the Top 100 Global Influencers List by Prime Dispute for Outstanding Global Achievement in International Arbitration. In 2022 he was listed as an A-List Sri Lankan Lawyer by the Asia Business Law Journal. Further, he was also a member of the Experts Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Sri Lanka to draft the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Act.

He has authored several books and articles published worldwide and serves as a member of the Distinguished Panel of Arbitrators for the SAARC Arbitration Council, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration as well as many others.

The three-month long MCB International Commercial Arbitration Program drew to an end with the highly anticipated MCB International Commercial Arbitration National Competition, held from 22nd - 23rd September 2023. After three General Rounds the teams from the University of Colombo and the Royal Institute of Colombo advanced to the Final Round.
