Tandem Dog Training took the weekend off to go explore and . We had so much fun! No access issues, everyone was polite and considerate

We had so much fun training today at . Sasquatch and Revan did so well, as did their handlers. It is always so amazing watching both dog and handler grow throughout training. I truly can't wait to see these teams reach their full potential- I am so proud.

It has been WAY too long since I last posted, oops!
But I'd like to introduce Buzz! He is a sweet boy that is having some trouble with reactivity to cars and dogs, along with needing some obedience work. He has been working with Tandem Dog Training for only a month, and is already making tremendous strides. Such a good boy!

These photos are from last weekend, but I just had to share Sasquatch wearing sunglasses, Revan being goofy, and Maddie falling asleep in my lap!

Today I took the girls to pottery class with me. Scroll to the last few pictures to see the progression of Maddie's 'down' command 🤣🤣 Akira was a good sport about it though!
We also got to go to for a couple hours. Did some obedience and confidence training with them both, then we were swarm by little kids wanting to meet Akira (this photo of them is posted WITH parental permission)- she was in heaven while they loved on her.
I swear every time I take this dog out she gets better and better, always surprising me with how well she does. Great job Maddie!

TDT had an amazing day of training! We picked up Maddie first thing, then had an extremely productive training session with . Next Maddie came to my ceramics class, and sat calmly for over an hour! We went to a few stores, then let loose any last bits of energy at the park before going home. So proud of how far she has come, and can't wait to see where she will end up!

I will do an official intro post on Revan soon, but I couldn't get over how perfect that first pic is!

Just want to say how amazing DreamRun Dog Training, LLC is! I couldn't be happier to have a working and personal relationship with such an incredible trainer and friend.

Today I had the pleasure of taking Maddy out on a day training trip! She behaved well beyond expectations, especially for only being 12 weeks, and we both had an amazing time. She is in a wagon because she has not had all her shots yet, but TDT won't let that stop the training! Believe it or not she is actually in her critical socialization period, meaning she needs exposure to everyday smells, sounds, and sights. Doing this now will help her tremendously in the long run.

Just a little appreciation post! We had so much fun yesterday at the . This was Rose's first time going to all the sections, and we also watched the dolphin show! Couldn't be more proud of Rose or her handler .

Hello! It has been a while since I have posted, sorry! TDT and our clients have been doing great in the new year.
As a little update, we are now CPDT-KA! For those that don't know, this is a knowledge-based accreditation that our trainer had to prepare and study for over the course of about 6 months. We took the exam along with DreamRun Dog Training, LLC and both passed! Please go follow them as well :)
Below is one of our new clients this year, Freddy. He is such a sweetheart and has been a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to see how far he comes! (Better pics to come)

Got to go on a hike yesterday! Both dogs got to run and play, and Akira even got in the water a little. I was do impressed by Rose. I am so proud of her and her handler.

Let's do a spotlight on Goose!
Goose was first entered into the program the day he was adopted back in late June.
Just look at him now! He is getting so much bigger and doing amazing. This was his first time in a fairly crowded area. There were plenty of people and distractions all around. Goose has a habit of trying to eat anything off the ground,, but I am so proud to say he didn't try to once! Some lovely people approached asking to pet him and Akira, and Goose was so polite and excited for pets. I can't wait to see the amazing service dog he will become!

I haven't posted a lot lately, as some personal stuff has come up. However, I do have a really exciting announcement to make, so stay tuned!!!

Started the day off with some off-leash training, then moved on to confidence and balance training. Had a lot of fun!!!

Can I just say how proud I am of these pups? They all did amazing on our trip to this past weekend! We went to the and the as well as roamed around the city and just had fun! Can't wait to go again :)

Tandem Dog Training is so proud to be involved in this great endeavor! We had such a good time today meeting with State Representative Brad Thomas to change the GA service dog laws for the better!

Today I met with a service animal advocacy group. I am looking forward to taking their concerns and seeing how we can update Georgia's code to help all Georgia citizens that rely on the help of a service animal. 😀🐕‍🦺

Definitely a crazy busy week here at Tandem Dog Training! We did: movie at and dinner at . Saturday we wandered around and .atl before checking out and eating at . To finish the day off we went and tried for the first time.

We did a lot of training, had a lot of fun, and of course took breaks to just be dogs for a bit. I can't express in words how proud I am in my clients, both 2 and 4 legged. Y'all did amazing!!!

(Yes, Saturday was a lot. But it was spread out over several hours, the dogs had several breaks, and we watched their energy levels and willingness to work the entire time. I promise you, they could have kept going, it was us humans that were struggling!)

Such a fun group training day at . We got to visit their annual rock fest! Everyone did an amazing job today, I al sooo proud of my clients! We even all went for Mexican at after! Such a fun and exciting day :)

Had a great day of training fun today! Got to work on dog excitement, focus heel, and some (leashed) off-leash work adding distance to established commands. Couldn't be prouder of my clients!
