Back in the early 2000's when I came to visit my pops in Berlin for the summer, I picked up some CDs that were laying around and began to burn them to my harddrive. Among them were "The K&D Sessions" by Kruder & Dorfmeister, "New Dubby Conquerors" by Seeed, and "Aftershock" by Aphrodite - all of which came to play an immense part in my musical upbringing in the years to come! I can't count the number of times I've listened to "Aftershock" from start to finish.. quite possibly more than any other album I've listened to! It's one of those true stand out albums from the early 2000's "golden era" of D&B, taking you on a proper immersive journey through the unique sound of the legend that is Aphrodite!!

This Friday the man himself will be passing thru VOID Berlin, and anytime he does you know it's gonna be a proper roadblock (so better bring your sauna towels) 🔥 I'm proper chuffed to be on the bill for this one (thanks Matze!) 🙏

Super excited for the weekend 🔥🔥🔥 I’ve been running on full steam the past couple days working on some updates to the Rolling Lion Hi-Fi, getting everything ready for the session on Friday! Just got a nice new soundsystem effect from Benidub, and have been building a new control tower which I'm looking forward to testing out. Can’t wait for this one - gonna be siiiiiick!!! 2 Floors, whole heap of wicked artists, visuals, nice location.. lessgoooo!

Drums @ Work x Sick Crew x Rolling Lion Hi-Fi

On the way back to Berlin after a short work week near Kassel, and got the next couple weeks off!! 🔥 I'll be using the down time to get my Rolling Lion Hi-Fi spruced up for the oncoming open air season, and already have a few dates and sessions locked in!! On May 10th I'll be bringing my full setup to KVU for Drums @ Work x Sick Crew x Rolling Lion Hi-Fi and providing some musical niceness alongside Forward Sisters & DJ Einkaufswagen! On the main floor the homies Dub Isotope & Matt Migz are teaming up with Sick Crew and friends for a wicked'n'wild bass music extravaganza 🔊🔊🔊 Also this weekend there's a small festival happening somewhere near the Polish border.. 👀 I'll be setting up my sound during the day on Saturday and the legendary Braintheft will be playing a live set Saturday night! Heading back to Berlin on Saturday after a month in Martinique, just in time for the summer solstice! Back in Berlin after a well needed week in the Italian alps with good friends - and right back to the grind! I've been kind of lacking motivation since the beginning of the year (and in the past months) - with all the grey weather in Berlin and no sessions to go to or play at - but I feel I'm slowly getting back in form and have been doing my best to keep up-to-date with new releases.. and since there have been so many recently, I wanted to record a new studio mix showcasing some of the tunes I've been feeling in the past months (in the 170 range)!
