My bucket list of places to visit is sooooo long. Praying 🙏🏼 that I can see some with my kids around, but many more when they are grown! My mom visited every continent, hopefully
The key thing for me to WANT to cook, is to have a kitchen I can stand cooking in. Who's with me?!! 🙌
So to make that happen, I have a few tips that help me keep it that way:
1- If you have a lot on the counter due to storage restraints, at the very least, limit it to ONLY items you use daily. Otherwise, find a place for it.
2- Because a cute plant, can make anything better. Fake or real, it just brightens up the space, trust me you'll love it. ❤️
3- Floating shelves can be a great low-cost solution to finding a place for those daily use items so you can keep them off the counter. Also, a great way to display pretty stuff you have hiding in the cupboard. Then it can free up space for that stuff on the counter you don't need there. Kind of a round robin type thing 😉
4- This is dual purpose. Disenfecting prevents spreading of all that yucky bacteria that lurks in a kitchen. But it ALSO forces you to clean off the counters well-enough to do so! If you commit to that 2 time/week minimum, you'll find any way you can to get those extra things off the counter too. Because no one wants to have to keep moving them! I tell me kids, if it's on the counter when I'm ready to disenfect on Monday morning, it's GONE! haha Definitely a motivator!
I have this debate with my husband all the time. Blankets, no blankets...A/C, no A/C...hot chocolate ☕️ or ice cream shake🍦! Are you warm-blooded or cold-blooded? 🥶
✋🏼✋🏼 100% agree!! I have seen it in my kids.
We have definitely gone through phases in our family where we have eaten out way too much. Very quickly, the littler ones were less likely to eat salads, fruits and veggies and all the good things we want them to try.
As soon as we go back to eating at home more, their palette and texture tolerance expands a ton.
Now as I have an older, almost teenager, I can see his appreciation for good food and eating healthy comes from those greater spans where we didn't out. Now to ensure the other ones turn out that way!!
It's cold, the leaves are off the trees, you are putting fuzzy socks on your feet...it's time for soup!
Definitely my go-to soup for easy and sooooo good. 🙌🏽 It will be worth it, I promise!
I mean, for real. ✌🏼
Whether it's just a spouse/significant other, a child or even a roommate, when you sit around the dinner table and LISTEN, magic happens.
So grateful for parents who provided that for me and therefore I value it more now as a Mom.
I don't know if my self-esteem is better because of it, but I can for sure say that dinner time was always the time I felt like I had my parents undivided attention. A time when they listened and I felt heard.
맛있어요 (mash*t-seoyo)! Or as my kids would say it, "This is yummy!" 😋😋😋 I don't think exclamation marks are a thing in Korean, but you get the idea.
Korean Beef...it is delicious!
It's a no-brainer, 10 meals in 1 hour! Can you imagine the time that saves you during the month on cooking? The question is, will it actually be worth it? 🤔
The answer is YES! 🥳 Less fast-food, more money in your pocket, meals around the dinner table, time with family and friends...so many reasons to take that 1 hour each month of prep time to make it happen. I promise it's worth it!
From mini pumpkins to letter boards, there are so many ways to feature the holidays on our kitchen counters. They don't just have to be functional but can be pretty too! 🪴

Even though Freezer Meals LIVE is NEW, my experience with cooking family-friendly meals and sharing them with others is not new. I have been doing this a while ... about 12 1/2 years to be exact.
My sisters and I started a recipe blog back in 2007. That was when we first started sharing our recipes (our Favorite Family Recipes to be exact haha) online.
Since then, our blog has grown to millions of visitors each month. We love sharing our recipes with others and seeing our recipes bring families to the dinner table. It has been an exciting journey!
One comment that we get ALL. THE. TIME. is "Can I freeze this?"
Some recipes can freeze easily... others take a little more work (not EVERY recipe is freezer friendly)
Which is why I created Freezer Meals LIVE. I am taking the guess work and complication out of freezer meals to make YOUR life easier!
I'm so excited for you to be able to make a bunch of freezer meals to have on hand for those stressful nights when you are in a pinch for dinner (10 meals in 1 hour to be exact).
I will walk you through it all! I will send you the shopping list (make it REALLY easy on yourself and get your groceries delivered or for pick-up... best thing ever invented, amiright??) and everything else to set yourself up for a SUPER successful night of prepping freezer meals.
On Monday at 10 AM MST, be sure to go to FreezerMealsLive.com and REGISTER for our next class! It's gonna be AMAZING! See you there!
Do you FREEZE your COOKIE DOUGH??
I do it all. the. time. It's the best for when you are just wanting a quick, sweet treat and don't want to bake up a whole batch.
Here's how:
Step 1: Make up a batch of cookie dough (this is my personal FAVORITE recipe: https://www.favfamilyrecipes.com/bakery-chocolate-chip-cookies/ )
Step 2: Roll into balls and place on a baking sheet (not as if you were baking them, put as many on there as you want as long as they aren't touching.
Step 3: Freeze.
Step 4: When completely hard and frozen (about an hour or 2) transfer dough balls to a freezer bag. That's it! Now you have a bag of cookies!
Bake at 325 for about 10-12 minutes. That's it!

Did you just get an Instant Pot for Christmas? I use my Instant Pot ALL. THE. TIME. for heating up freezer meals! Here are 5 TIPS on how to safely cook freezer meals from FROZEN to FULLY COOKED in your Instant Pot:
1. Don’t forget to add liquid:
Like anything you cook in the Instant Pot, you will want to make sure you have enough liquid to help come to pressure. You won’t need much, just ¼ to ½ C. will do.
2. Know some general times:
If I am heating a freezer meal from frozen, my general rule of thumb is 40 minutes. That is if the meat is serving-sized (like half of a chicken breast). If the meat is smaller or in chunks, I may reduce the time by 10 minutes or if it is larger (like a 2 pound roast) I will add an extra 10-15.
3. DON’T Use The “Slow Cooker” Function when heating a freezer meal. It isn’t recommended to slow cook from frozen because your food will be sitting in the “danger zone” for too long before getting completely cooked through. If using the slow cooker function, it is best to thaw in the refrigerator first.
4. Shred and Return:
If I am shredding after cooking, I will always remove the meat from the IP, shred, and return to the pot to soak up all the flavors even more. You don’t need to restart the IP, just keep it on warm for 5-10 minutes or until ready to serve.
5. Season to Taste:
It is always a good idea to season after cooking, maybe add a little more salt or spices to brighten things up a bit. No matter what you are cooking, you will always want to season to taste!
