14U MICHIGAN SELECT TRYOUTS ANNOUNCED

The Saginaw Bay Youth Athletic Organization is happy to announce tryouts for their Michigan Select and Mid-Michigan Select 14U teams in 2024. Tryouts will occur on 7/26 at Bangor John Glenn HS in Bay City and will include a showcase-style skill portion followed by a simulated game. Check-in will start at 5pm with tryout starting at 530pm. 14U MICHIGAN SELECT FINALIST AT PBR

Shout out to the 14U Michigan Select squad on their finalist finish in the PBR Michigan Summer Invite. They made the finals, but the rest of the day was cancelled due to weather and the championship unable to be played. Well done men!

16U MICHIGAN SELECT OPEN TRYOUTS THIS SUNDAY!

ALL Interested 16U Players (16 on 5/1/2023) or younger sophomores are encouraged to attend this full day tryout in which pro-style workouts and team scrimmaging will be done in order to assess skill set and game play. If you are unable to make it, contact Bill Ruff 9894153680 or if you have any additional questions.

MICHIGAN SELECT 16U OPEN TRYOUTS - TWO TEAMS!

Open tryouts for our 16U Michigan Select teams will be on Sunday, August 7th starting at 12 Noon at Bay City Western High School (500 W. Midland Rd. Auburn, MI 48611). Interested players are to pre-register at the link below and present that day ready to play ball for 4+ hours. All interested individuals will be evaluated in a variety of skills through a pro-style workout and on-field game play.

The Michigan Select team will take a more "national" approach to their 2023 year. This team will be coached by Bill Ruff and will add more travel to their agenda to place interested and skilled players into some of the most competitive situations that can be found for the purposes of skill development and for player showcasing.

The Mid-Michigan Select team will be coached by Tanner Gilles. This team will have a more regionally focused travel agenda with the same goal of placing interested and skilled players into the best situations for skill development and player showcasing.

Jebb logged a .429 average (6-for-14) in the three games, including a career-high four hits and four RBI in Sunday's 9-3 win over nationally-ranked West Virginia. Jebb was a home run shy of the cycle Sunday, finishing with two triples and a double for the weekend, with 11 total bases and six RBI, adding one stolen base. Jebb joined his keystone corner mate Farquhar in solid defense all weekend as well, including snaring a line drive and stepping on second for a double play to end a bases-loaded threat in Sunday's win over WVU. Jebb has at least one hit in all 10 games this season and a 17-game hitting streak dating back to last season.
