Evans Community Deli Market closed our doors today, Thursday, August 31st, 2023. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting our market within the last four years. We absolutely enjoyed all our customers and are beyond grateful for the community support. Even though, the market is closed the Evans Center (community room) will remain open. Once again, thank you all for contributing to the market. We will deeply miss all our customers and partners.

IDALIA UPDATE: Hurricane Idalia continued to make its way toward Florida Tuesday afternoon as a Category 1 storm, however, the storm is expected to intensify to a Category 3 hurricane before making landfall late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
For the safety of our valued customers and staff, Evans Market and Center will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30th, 2023. We will reopen on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at 7:00am for the "Best Breakfast and Lunch"! Everyone be safe!

PSA: EVANS CENTER ANNOUNCEMENT and COMMUNITY FORUM
As you may know, Evans Center recently celebrated its 4th anniversary and has become a vital hub for numerous programs and services in the community. Our market has been bringing fresh foods and a delicious hot food deli to the neighborhood, serving as a beacon of hope and nourishment for many of our neighbors.
However, we must also be transparent with you about our current situation. Evans Center is currently facing significant struggles and is at risk of having to close its doors permanently. This would be a devastating loss for our community, and we refuse to let it happen without a fight.
CALL TO ACTION:
Come to Evans Center on August 22nd at 6:00 pm and invite your friends! Evans Center leaders will host their 3rd forum this year, and all are encouraged and welcomed to attend!
Details related to the market closure will be shared at the forum. Also, there will be community discussion on Evans' future. Please come ready to share your ideas for how the Evans Center can continue to serve our community!
Your attendance and support will make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors, and help us continue to provide essential programs and services to those who need it most.
Together, we can ensure that Evans Center continues to be a beacon of hope and nourishment in our community. So mark your calendars for August 22nd at 6:00 pm and we'll see you there!
