Shelton Babe Ruth Baseball

Shelton Babe Ruth will be adding one final registration for the upcoming 2024 baseball season.

The registration will be today, Saturday March 2, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Little League clubhouse behind Sunnyside school. This is the time to register for the 2024 spring season and the summer season when high school is over.

Shelton Babe Ruth will be holding it's in person registrations for it's 2024 Babe Ruth season on the dates listed below. Shelton Babe Ruth is open to all Shelton, Derby, and Monroe players ages 13-16.

There has been a change in the age structure for Babe Ruth as it is now for ages 13-16. We will have a 13-14 division and a 15-16 division. Players will also be allowed to play up as needed.

Players born prior to May 1, 2011 and on or after May 1, 2007 are now eligible for 13-16 Babe Ruth.

As always we will attempt to have a team or teams for each age group but this will always depend on registration numbers.

Along with players we are always looking for volunteer coaches and managers.

The cost to play is $225.00 per player. we will play an 18-22 game schedule. The 13-14 division will begin play mid April and end mid to late June. The 15-16 division will begin late May and end late July allowing any high school player the opportunity to play when their school season is finished.

There will be some travel as we play up and down the Route 8 corridor, along I95 and I91. Half the scheduled games will be played in Shelton either at the Nike Site or the Shelton Intermediate school.

All registrations will be held at the Little League clubhouse behind Sunnyside school located at 418 River Rd. A copy of the players original birth certificate along with 2 proofs of residency are required for all new players. League fee are playable by check or cash. Checks are made out to Shelton Babe Ruth.

Saturday Feb. 10 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday Feb. 13 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturday Feb. 17 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday Feb. 20 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm
Saturday Feb. 24 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

We hope to see you there! Shelton Babe Ruth puts an emphasis on learning and increasing fundamentals and basic skills of baseball. even if you’ve taken a year off of baseball, please don’t hesitate to come join us, you’re sure to have fun!

It’s that time of year! Shelton Babe Ruth will be holding Fall Ball registrations on the dates listed below. Shelton Babe Ruth is open to all Shelton, Derby and Monroe residents.

As always we will attempt to have a team for each age group 13U, 14U and 15U. The 13U division will be made up of graduating 12 year old players leaving Little League. (Fall ball is a great way to start learning the bigger field before spring!)The number of teams will be determined by registration numbers. We do have the option to combine ages if necessary.

The season will begin the weekend after Labor Day and ending the last weekend in October. Games are primarily played on the weekends but a weekday game under the lights is possible.

We are always looking for volunteer coaches for our teams.

The cost per player is $225.00

15U goes 3-0 in playoffs! Championship game at SIS Tuesday 8/1 starting at 5:45, come on down and support these guys!

our 13U team wrapped up their season with a W last night!! lots of good stuff including a home run and no hits allowed by one of our pitchers!! Everyone made massive improvements this season, hope to see them back in the fall! our 15U team continues play through July.

a little bit about Babe Ruth in Shelton...
we are a youth baseball group giving a place for players ages 12-16 to play. 16 is a new age being added for the 2024 season! (more info on eligible ages coming soon) we play and practice mainly at the field at SIS, with occasional games at Nike Site. schedule consists of home games and away games in nearby towns like Milford, Amity, and Stratford.
