Many of Y&T's first professional shows, when we were just getting started, were in Berkeley California. The up and coming bands out of the Bay Area would all play the Longbranch and Keystone in Berkeley. On any given night you might see Yesterday & Today, Sammy Hagar, or Eddie Money trying out our new songs and honing our chops. Berkeley was one of the main towns we all kick-started our careers and because we were Oakland boys, it was a big part of our heritage to come out of the East Bay.
Now this Saturday we finally get back to Berkeley when we play Cornerstone Craft Beer & Live Music on Shattuck Ave in Berkeley. This place looks pretty cool and I can't wait to go back to our roots and do this again, 43 years after we started! If you live in the bay area we hope you'll come out and join us.
Cheers,
-Dave
Tom Size, Y&T's longtime soundman, and an all around amazing guy...is the latest of our Bay Area music family to be faced with this evil disease. If you can, please help him and his family fight and win, by donating and sharing. **kcancer

Rest in Peace, Dawn.
Okay. So, I finally lived up to my threats and entered a vocal competition. Yay for me.
Unfortunately, not so much "yay" for you..as I'm now going to have to pester you, constantly, to log on and vote. For me. That part is important. You have to vote for me. Anyway...this is the 1st submission out of three, so I apologize, in advance, for all the bugging I'm going to do, for the remainder of the competition.
Thank you!!

Hoping someone, anyone, can save this beautiful girl. We will help transport from LA to the Bay Area, if someone can give her a home and save her life.
NOTE: THE SHELTER CHANGED SELUCIA'S NAME TO JOSIE. SHE STILL NEEDS A HOME OR RESCUE...
From an URGENT email plea:
I WAS SCHEDULED FOR EUTH YESTERDAY. WHY ME? I'VE BEEN BEATEN, I'VE BEEN BRED, I'D BEEN BACKYARDED. I'D BEEN FORGOTTEN -- UNTIL TOMIKA TOOK PITY ON ME, UNTIL VOLUNTEERS STARTED TO LOOK AT ME. AND LOVE ME.
Selucia/Josie (A1314312, 3 years old, a skinny 61 pounds), brought into the shelter with her 1-year old pup, was terrified and shaking when we first met her. She froze when a leash appeared, wouldn't walk, fled to the other side of her cage when someone approached. What an invitation! That's the kind of dog that some of us may be drawn to -- the shy ones, the ones that don't stand a chance without our championing them. We want to soothe their fears, see their tails wag and feel their sweet breath on our cheeks as they nuzzle with us.
Selucia/Josie was originally put into a kennel with other dogs and did well -- but, she is now alone. She seems interested in her four-legged friends and we will try to get her some companionship again. Definitely a girl who will take some time to adjust to a home but, honestly, she gets very excited and starts wagging that calloused tail when I go by her cage now. She loves her walks, is a true sniffer who treasures every blade of grass she encounters. Those soulful eyes are pleading for someone to save her life -- TODAY! Selucia/Josie was given just a few more days -- the shelter is bursting with animals, impounds are horrendously high.
Surely there must be someone who will give this girl a chance at happiness. She's suffered enough, been ignored, mistreated. Selucia/Josie needs your attention and kindness -- and it's got to be immediately or she won't make it out of the shelter alive.

We would like to take a moment to address the newly created page titled Save The Avalon Nightclub in Santa Clara.
We did not created this site and have no knowledge of who did, and
although we appreciate the support, thought and effort that went into this page, it is extremely important that we clarify the facts and prevent any further misunderstanding of the situation.
The building was sold, by the property owners, a year ago, to a medical developer, and will serve as a dialysis treatment center. Neither Kaiser nor the Santa Clara City Council have ever been involved, in any capacity, whatsoever. In fact, in the nine years we've been here, we've always been treated fairly by the various city departments we've worked with. So, please, do not call the City Council as they bear no responsibility for, nor have any control over, the situation. It is also important to keep in mind that, while it is hard to say goodbye, we are genuinely comforted by the fact that our home, of 9 years, will be used to provide medical treatment and save lives.
Again, we are grateful, beyond words. The support of this community gave us the strength to survive and grow, with positivity and goodwill. And we hope that we can count on your support , one last time, to give us the strength to say goodbye, in the same spirit.
