I wanted to share our weekly "Patient Spotlight" story from our mission clinic: Lift Up Springfield. A place were miracles happen!
Medical and Dental Mission Clinic Lift up springfield is a medical and dental mission clinic in Springfield, MO. Doctors, Dentist, Nurses, Dental Assistants and Hygienist, Clerical, Churches, Schools, Phlebotomist, Lab Tech's, Medical and Dental Students all volunteer to serve the critical needs for our community.
Had a beautiful day to enjoy great company and see some phenomenal programs at efactory and Glass Hall. Thank you President Smart and your amazing staff!
This was a great day at Lift Up Springfield: Our First Annual HEROES DAY to honor our Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Workers! Thank you Bob for always being such a great supporter of Lift Up!
It was great to join Dr. Tricia Derges and her team at Lift Up Springfield Clinic today for their celebration & announcement of a new healthy food pantry for the chronically ill and homeless population. They’ll partner with area grocers, restauranteurs, dairies, packing houses and farmers to obtain and flash freeze dry, fresh vegetables, dairy, meats, and fruits so that when used, they will have the same vitamins and minerals as the day they were taken out of the field. Their efforts will go a long way in helping the chronically ill, such as patients with diabetes and hypertension eat healthier meals and begin to break the cycle they often cannot escape. They will change and save many lives! Thankful we have such a good community.
Medical and Dental Day for VETERANS,
FIRST RESPONDERS and FRONTLINE WORKERS! FREE. Its our way of saying THANK YOU to all of you!! (info below)
As you know, Lift Up has always been there for those in need, those unable to get help from anyone. Our patients continually get turned away from any help because they are unable to pay or qualify (they don't have an address because they are homeless).
This IS OUR MISSION and WILL ALWAYS BE OUR MISSION. We have been here for close to 25,000 people/visits and will be here for 25,000 more!
We are SO thankful for the countless volunteers and have passed through out doorway and not judged our tiny little facility that shows its age with mission equipment, paper charts. We don't have all the fancy things other clinics and dentist office have: but instead we have HUGE hearts and talents that care for others! Thanks to the many doctors, dentist, nurses, aides, housewives, church members, students from all area colleges and universities have blessed the lives of so many: so many people's health is good today and many are alive today because of this little clinic.
Thanks to those who do not judge us, but instead see the "incredible beauty and love within the beast" and support us.
We have REAL miracles happen every week because the good Lord continues to watch over and guide the work we do. Christ never had any fancy facilities or equipment: but He did far more without them!
We are also SO thankful for those that help with what financial donations they provide. I don't think that any one single person realizes the impact of their donations: just $1 allows us to give back up to 40, or more times its value. In the past 5 years we have saved the tax payers several million dollars because we don't take any state or federal aid: this way no one can tell us who we can and can't help. As we always have been: we have been there for you. We are also happy to say that we have managed to continue helping our patients through this COVID crisis.
This Friday, September 18, we will be devoting the day to our GREAT Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Workers. Please bring your ID's.
We will do a walk in visit for DENTAL from 9 - 12 for either one filling or one extraction. We will do this on a first come basis.
We will do a walk in visit for MEDICAL from 9 - 2. We will do this on a first come basis.
We ask that you please wear a mask. We will set up social distancing inside and outside for those waiting. Please come to the desk when you arrive and get a number.
WHAT YOU CAN DO .......................
For anyone that would like to volunteer this Friday to help with patients, help the dentist or doctors with request, paperwork: that would be WONDERFUL! It's a great opportunity to give back. If there are ANY hygienist or dentist out there that would also like to come and volunteer: that would be great. Any dentist that would be available from 1 - 4 that would allow us to continue providing help through the afternoon. We have two dentist in the morning from 9 - 12.
Please email [email protected]
PLEASE SHARE this (or call them) to your Veteran friends, First Responders and Frontline Workers.
PLEASE SHARE this with any dentist, hygienist, or doctors (or call them) that would like to participate. Have them email [email protected] if they are able to help.
ANY DENTIST OFFICE THAT WOULD HAVE SUPPLIES TO DONATE (ANESTHETIC, COMPOSITE, NUMBING GEL, ETC - ANYTHING), PLEASE LET US KNOW, WE CAN PICK IT UP.
If you can't come and help: please help us with a donation so that we are able to keep providing critically needed services! You can donate here or on our website at www.liftupspringfield.org
Thank you, and GOD BLESS!
REMEMBER: This Friday is our CELEBRATION of Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Workers Day to come in for a free medical visit or dental visit (one extraction or one filling) from 9 - 1 (we may have more dentist after 1:00, so be sure and come by. Our doctors will be there through the afternoon. (September 18).
Our mission clinic APPRECIATES all of these great people: what they have done and what they do.
ANYONE is welcome to come and join us for our celebration day COOKOUT LUNCH from 11 - 1!!! We will be cooking out and would love to have you come by.
We also will be announcing an AMAZING PROJECT that we have been working on for some time. We are excited to finally get this started! So come by at 12:00 noon for that announcement! Not only will be another wonderful service to help improve the health of those in need but will provide jobs for those that struggle to find work because of their health or other difficult circumstances! It is a great project that will involve our entire community!
If you would like to volunteer: we would really LOVE to have a couple more dentist for Friday afternoon from 1 - 4. If you know a dentist, or are a dentist, PLEASE help support our great Veterans, First Responders and Frontline Workers! Volunteer for a few hours on Friday. If you can't volunteer, we would greatly appreciate any donations of supplies for that day (anesthetic, filling materials, etc) or would appreciate any financial donations from anyone that can help us with supplies at Lift Up.
EMAIL US AT: [email protected]
Please come by on Friday and get lunch: we are also happy to give you a tour of our little clinic.
Please share!
OK, if they give votes for cuteness, I think this definitely ranks about a million votes!!! We need to start all our beautiful little ones with this kind of passion for our country! I just LOVE these pictures!!! And thanks Robbie....I appreciate your vote!!! I'll work super - super hard for you because you deserve to keep the BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.......THE GREATEST!
Robbie is over at the Ozark West Elementary School location (CC and Fremont Rd) if you want to go by and shake his and Teddy's hand!
I would like to ask for your vote this Tuesday, AUGUST 4. We must have more representatives with healthcare and business backgrounds in Jefferson City if we are going to make the work move forward and come up with workable solutions! I am a Conservative Republican. Endorsed by the NRA and Right To Life and Pro Police.
We are in very difficult times right now: The healthcare crisis, troubles in our schools and in our businesses, we must have more people that have knowledge and personal experience in these areas on the floor in Jefferson City if we are going to make any headway. I have extensive experience in each of these areas as a Doctor, Businesswoman-Entrepreneur and Educator. I can bring the diversity that will help create synergy and solutions.
I have had a number of request to see the sample ballot so people can see where my name is. Thank you SO MUCH for your support!
This is the greatest community in the world! I am so excited to have the opportunity to be able to do more. I will work to ensure that the foundations of our families are protected and stay strong, that our small businesses thrive and not be bogged down with unnecessary taxes and regulations (I love business!), to be sure our children have first rate schools and teachers: and that our teachers are supported for the amazing jobs they do and to battle hard for the healthcare we all deserve, expecting accountability for the disaster that has been created and working hard to find solutions for the ridiculously high cost of healthcare while ensuring that the quality goes up: it has been money driven for far too long! It is time the patient comes first!!
Please remember to set a reminder on your phone to get out on August 4 to vote. Every vote is precious!
From our family to yours.......have a blessed 4th of July! Celebrate our freedoms and the fact we have the greatest country in the world!
Just a little over one month left to vote! Be sure to mark this important date on your calendar or set a reminder on your phone. Its one of the greatest things we can ever do!
Please visit my website at www.triciaderges.org
Please contact me if you would like me to bring out a yard sign for you! You can also pick one up at my medical clinic at CC and 65 (Right behind the McDonalds on the NW service road). We are there from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
I am very honored and humbled to announce that I just received the endorsement from the MISSOURI RIGHT TO LIFE for my candidacy for the Missouri House of Representatives, 140th District.
We must protect the most valuable resource we have: life.
Thank you for your support and vote in the August 4 election!
For those of you that don't know, I have a medical-dental and mental health mission clinic that serves the homeless, impoverished and veterans in our area (Christian, Greene, Taney and most all other counties in SW Missouri). I opened Lift Up 4 1/2 years ago and we have been blessed to provide care to over 25,000 people that were unable to get any care at all.
We were able to finally get the clinic back up and open on Friday following the COVID shut down. We are SO happy to have everything back up and going: so many people are in need! Thankfully, even being closed since March, we were able to still care for our patients through telemedicine and email.
Here is our Lift Up weekly post. This will give you a little glimpse into what we do each week! Please feel free to follow us for weekly updates!

"TOGETHER WE ALL WIN"
I am very excited to be a candidate for the House of Representatives, 140th District.
I have worked to help write, testify and pass bills for the past 6 years in Jefferson City. Bills that have helped make improvements in our communities and our state: making the lives of the citizens of Missouri a little better each time. There is so much more that needs to be done. I look forward to having the opportunity to pick up the mantle created by all of the tremendous great hard work and dedication that Representative Lynn Morris has provided and continue it forward. He has been an amazing mentor for me, I have learned so much about our district and the process of government from him.
Representing our 140th District would be a tremendous honor. This is my home and where we have been blessed to raise our children. I have lived in the 140th district since 1996 and lived in the area since 1978.
I have met so many amazing members of the House and Senate over the years, it is exciting to think that I may have the opportunity to work directly with them.
First and foremost it is important for me that you know: In all that I do and in all that I will continue to do: I follow the example and teachings of the Lord. He is first in my life.
Second: I will give you 150%.
I have over a thirty-year history of serving the people in this community (140th District): business, education, medical, jobs, school programs, charities, special needs, kids organizations, church and home. My history shows that I care and my actions testify to this. You can count on me representing YOU and addressing the things WE need most here in the 140th District.
I believe that my unique background will allow me to bring a fresh new approach to Jefferson City. I am not a politician nor a lawyer. I bring a unique combination of business, education and medicine to the table. Three of the biggest categories that are in need of solutions. I already had several solutions presented in bills that were progressing forward in this year's 2020 legislative session, but as we know, were unfortunately tabled until 2021 due to COVID-19.
I have a heavy, successful, 25 year background of business experience as the CEO/President of my own manufacturing company. I started my company in my attic and grew it into an international company, providing jobs to hundreds of people right here in our 140th and surrounding districts. My company also worked closely with our schools for years to provide additional educational opportunities for students as well as create programs to ensure struggling seniors were able to to graduate.
At the age of 52, sold my company and went to medical school to become a doctor. I wanted to be able to do far more than just provide jobs. I now have 4 clinics which provide inexpensive, quality medical care.
LIFT UP, my medical-dental-mental health mission clinic, has provided care to over 25,000 homeless, impoverished and our veterans since it opened in 2016. Hundreds of our patients are from right here in our 140th District.
We have been recognized on a national level in Washington DC for the work the clinic has done: receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for Community Service (Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award). The only recipient of this award in Missouri history. Lift Up has eliminated the pain of thousands and provided care for those with chronic illnesses, unable to qualify for care: most have not seen a doctor in over 10 years! We do not take
state or federal aid, but we have made it work: saving the taxpayers of Missouri hundreds of thousands of dollars. We work from donations and volunteers.
The other 3 clinics provide inexpensive medical care for the "Working Person", 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 8am till 10pm. Our goal is to meet the needs of our patients the "old fashioned" way: by treating them as part of our family, spending as much time as needed listening to them and then explaining things to them. No one is a number in our clinics. Our clinics are the only clinics in our district to have remained open full time to see patients during this COVID crisis. People still experience the normal accidents and illnesses (non-COVID), but have been left with nowhere to go. Telemedicine is not helpful in most of these cases.
I am thankful to our wonderful doctors who have chosen to stay on the front lines, putting their health and safety at risk, working many long hours to be there for patients, because they care.
I have been married to Dan for the past 33 years, am a mother to 8 beautiful children and a grandmother to 23 (and that number is still growing) and of course: mom to two 5-lb fur baby Yorkies! Rosie and Ruby (Very spoiled!!)
My passion is to solve problems using good common sense and the knowledge that I have gained through education and life experiences. Finally, the two most important parts to this combination: Faith and Prayer.
I hope that I am blessed to earn your vote on August 4.
Thank you again for this opportunity!
I plan to post my website this week. So please keep an eye out!
If you are interested in putting up am election sign more me in your yard or on your property, that would be wonderful. Just let me know. The signs will be in within the next 2 weeks.
We are here to help others! Everywhere!
Matthew 25:40
I have a wonderful family that I love very much!
