We have been busy in third grade, with Learning Text Features, Reviewing with Pie Face, Morning Bins, Morning Meetings, Simple Machines, and Celebrations of our accomplishments. I am so excited for how many students will be celebrated tomorrow morning at our Monday Celebration.

Today we explored that different shapes can have the same area. Each table group had to figure out how many different ways they could arrange the cubes so that they had the same area.

We begin our weeks with a Monday Celebration, recognizing students for different accomplishments during the previous week. The biggest excitement is how well they have done celebrating others. Who will be recognized next week?

Today we read The Doorbell Rang, and after another group of people came over, they used their cookies to practice division and figure out how many each person would get. We are working hard on understanding multiplication and division!
