A little windy in Idaho today so I found an old hatâŚ
April showers this morning and thunderstorms this afternoon, but I took advantage of a nice break in the middle to get outside!
As March is winding down, the amount of water flowing over Shoshone Falls is picking up! The falls are in the Snake River Canyon near Twin Falls, ID.
So many fond memories of working with Molly and our fun times outside of work! âĽď¸ Whenever people leave TV news I wonder what theyâll do nextâŚwith Molly, I wonder what she wonât do because the skyâs the limit! Iâm pretty sure sheâs worked the equivalent of about 3 full time jobs for at least the past 10 years. That woman is a FORCE and Iâve always been amazed at what she packs into a day. Love you, Molls - excited to see all you do in the futureâŚ
AN ANNOUNCEMENT: Iâm leaving WBTV News. This is my decision. I want to be transparent and share this truth because Iâve built a career on being real with you guys, and donât want to pretend my last show isnât fast approaching.
Though I will no longer be anchoring your 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, and 11pm shows: I'm not going anywhere. Iâll still be in Charlotte, still speaking to your groups, moderating, emceeing, inspiring, empowering, and still working with local non-profits. My family deeply loves this community. We canât imagine leaving.
With that said, life experience is an excellent teacher. I have learned there are times to blindly believe the ship youâre on is in the right direction, and other times to pause and take a breath. My dad always said: âBet on yourself.â Iâm channeling him now. No matter who you are, remember that: Betting on yourself is a good route to take.
This is not âretirement.â This is not to have âmore time with family.â Itâs because sometimes things change, and based on whatâs in front of your face, itâs time to grow in a new direction.
I am very grateful for 20-years at WBTV. The people in this newsroomâboth past and present co-workersâremain the best thing about this nutty and magical career. Iâm even more grateful to all of YOU. You guys welcomed me into the market back in 2003. Ever since, Iâve strived to tell your stories with grit, fairness, and dedication. I have always wanted to be a person you can rely upon and will never, ever take this community for granted. Thank you for two great decades.
See you tonight.

Another year, another calendar! đď¸ Explore 2024 features scenes from southern Idaho. I started making calendars from pictures I took while hiking as a way to inspire myself to get outside and explore more. The calendars eventually became Christmas gifts for my family and I found a way to offer them online to anyone else who may be interested!
