Eat ALL the ice cream I say!!!!
Imagine being 75 and you’re sat thinking about your life and how you never went swimming in the ocean on a warm night because your thighs jiggled. Imagine realising you never laughed until you couldn’t breathe because your teeth weren’t straight or white enough. You never embraced the sun on the beach because of the stretch marks on your stomach and your hips. You never allowed yourself to let go and have fun because the pressure to look perfect consumed you. Imagine being 75 and realising you’ve hidden yourself away for the fear of being real. Imagine realising all the years you wasted hating yourself, but now it’s too late to go swim in the ocean late at night. Now it hurts to laugh for more than a few seconds and you’re too weak to travel to the beach. Imagine realising all this time you were perfect the way you were, but now it’s too late to do anything about it. Don’t let that happen. Live now, as you are. You deserve to realise you’re enough, and always have been, before you’re 75.

If there is one thing I’ve learned over the past few months, it’s to take NOTHING for granted… not even your freedom. Who would have thought that I’d be excited to take out the recycling rubbish the other day? Yup… it’s the small things. But it’s the big things too. I never would have thought that there’d be a day that playgrounds would be closed or that I couldn’t go to the post office to post a parcel or that I couldn’t even hug my friends.
I travel a lot and have never thought twice about booking a flight or planning my next adventure. Now I still have no idea when I’ll even be able to see my family and other loved ones again.
So I guess my point is… don’t wait. You never know what’s around the corner. It might not be Covid, it could be anything.
Life is short and nothing is guaranteed.

Oh I'm so putting this on my list of places to visit!
Inside ancient 'healing' salt mine with azure lakes and chandeliers made of salt This eerie salt mine in Poland consists of more than 2,000 rooms, including the impressive Chapel of St. Kinga where impressive figures have been carved out of rock salt
One of my goals this year was to do my first Spartan race. I’m booked in for the Auckland Sprint at the end of July. But it’s looking more and more unlikely that it will go ahead. Soooo... instead of wasting all my hard work on training, I did a virtual Spartan race instead! Where there’s a will, there’s a way!!!
What is one thing that you want to be able to look back on and be so glad you did it?
Do you have a bucket list? A list of things you one day hope to do? What is one of the things on your list? One of the things on my list is to sleep in a glass igloo under the northern lights!
Life is short! Eat Dessert First! Welcome! This page is for people who have big goals and dreams and need a bit of motivation and inspiration to achieve them. We can also help motivate and inspire each other. No goal is too big or too small. I’m a student of Mike Dooley’s ‘Infinite Possibilities’ so I believe all things are possible! Oh and yes, feel free to post delicious dessert recipes any time!
Rules: not sure yet… let’s see how we go, hopefully we won’t need any rules.
