, we honor the National Navajo Code Talkers, who used their tribal language to send secret communications on the battlefield during the Pacific Island-Hopping Campaign of World War II.

The Code Talkers actively participated in every major operation in the Pacific theater, and their presence often proved to be crucial to the Marines' success in outmaneuvering the enemy with swift and secure communication.

In battle, each duo operated as an efficient team. One person handled the portable radio, while the other relayed and translated messages in their native language, utilizing a phonetic code and vocabulary adaptations tailored for modern warfare.

The messages the Code Talkers sent were never successfully decoded by enemy forces, ensuring the security of critical information and providing a significant advantage to U.S. troops.

The Navajo Code Talkers' achievements remain a proud chapter in Marine Corps history.
