I forgot to mention in this tweet that life has been + raising young kids during a pandemic + political upheaval + war + + . I could make a massive list of all of the hard a mile long. Im sure you can too, friends. 💕

I’m so happy there are honest storytellers like that give accurate portrayals of the human condition.

It’s something I always look for when reading. That sense of, ‘staring into sun,’ level of honesty and self-examination. The way that point of view allows us to be both perfect and imperfect is profound and important.

It’s something I’ve noticed more as the pandemic has gone on seemingly forever. People just don’t have the time for the fluff and BS. Honest, genuine language that reflects the current human experience is what audiences need right now.

‘I like the wine and not the label,’ display seen at my local . #⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This made me so happy! has been my pandemic binge-watch show of choice to keep my spirits up.

I think I love so much because it’s unapologetically q***r. It doesn’t apologize or make homophobia a story line.

The story between Patrick and David is one of unconditional love and interpersonal growth. It’s so amazing to see a gay, healthy adult relationship of unconditional love in a show. It took my breath away and fills me with hope.

It’s the kind of world I wish we could all live in - one where we’re accepted for who we are. A world free from prejudice and homophobia. Stories like Schitts Creek are so important.

Other amazing shows I’ve watched this and loved are HeartStopper (I could faint it’s so good), and Fire Island with Bowen Yang. Both, AMAZING.

Happy Instagram!

I’d like to thank the academy, , being an indoor kid who loves to read and write, and for the gentle yet effective knowledge you share about my writing insights.

Does anyone else get excited about their Grammarly reports? My inner writing nerd misses receiving grades. Their weekly reports note ways you can improve in a way that’s so kind and thoughtful.

Have you tried grammarly? What do you think? It’s one of the tools I use everyday to make me a better marketer. Check it out!

I adore a good pun. I enjoy it even more when it’s email related. I keep trying to come up with my own email signature but I’m not sure as I can come up with something as serendipitous and wonderful as ‘best fishes.’

Normally I sign ‘Best,’ but it’s starting to feel too generic. How do you sign off on your emails?

I grew up spending a lot of time in my grandmother Dorothy's art studio in Michigan. She had a massive space that filled with natural light in the afternoon. Every medium was available to me - pastels, oil, acrylics, watercolors, clay. Literally everything you could find in an art store was in her studio. As a child and a creative, this was the most special place in the world to me. Did you have a space like this growing up?

In her studio we'd explore design, composition, and light. I was a lover of big, bold colors and patterns and she loved the way you could create soft light in watercolor. She taught me the basis of everything I know about design.

When she passed away, I found her sketchbook. She loved details and celebrating the individual idiosyncrasies of each person she met. This page of ears has always struck me and made me pause.

I'm sure this was just a practice page for her but I loved the way she'd carefully noted the details in each of the ears she's drawing. I have this picture in my office and it's a reminder for me to listen, lead with love and sweat the details.

Tag a friend who needs a little extra support on this very first of 2022.

Do you have any quotes you read to inspire you? I love having quotes that boost me up when I'm feeling defeated and help get me to the finish line of a big client project or personal goal.

This embroidered sign hangs in my office, to the left of my computer screen but always in eyesight. I bought it as a reminder that when starting over, failure while learning is part of the process and should be embraced.

For those of you who haven’t watched , the show is about a family starting over. The Rose Motel is where they end up living and ultimately growing together into something more loving and stronger than they were before.

Two years ago before the world was upended, I had dreams of scaling into a massive email marketing agency. In reality, between raising very young children during a pandemic and just trying to keep my current clients happy I put that dream on hold.

The world right now is messy and challenging and scary. I’ve realized there is no perfect time to put yourself out there to try to make something great.

I’m embracing 2022 and all its flaws. I have little expectation of what this year will bring but I’ll be here, courageously growing and finding ways to adapt to a new world and all its uncertainty.
