Good morning world it is me 💕👩‍🍳🐢 today’s lunch is polenta and white beans with Swiss chard grown in my garden. First harvest of the season. I do not grow as much as years ago when I had my larger garden. I have these wonderful memories of flavors from when Mom and Dad would gather stuff from their garden and make dinner for our family. I try to replicate theses flavors and memories for myself and others. Polenta is still one of my favorite! Again, so simple yet so delicious. Looking forward to lunch. Good morning world it is me❤️👩‍🍳🐢 as usual I was up early and it turned out to be a cooking day. I needed to make some Schiaccia but then I save some dough for pasta fritta❤️❤️❤️ yum yum yum. I made some sweet and some salty. Hit the spot I believe for both me and Maya. She asked for another piece. The simplest things are the most delicious. Hope you all have a perfectly delicious day. Good afternoon World it’s me ❤️🐢👩‍🍳I have been running around for a few days now. I was loving every moment of the past few days. I just stop everything for a little lunch. I have been having a taste for a poke bowl with mango pineapple dressing and a glass of a peach spritzer all day.
YUM YUM YUMMY . I haven’t made this in a while. It is definitely delicious. Great way to sit and listen to the rain. Happy Sunday everyone. 💕

Wow! What used to take me a few hours to do….I am now at 9 hours. Maybe it’s all the breaks I take. I will do a taste test when they cool down. My kitchen does have that wonderful Easter Torta di Riso smell. I love it 🥰. Shelly I will be texting you in a few minutes.

Good Morning World it is me ❤️🐢🌷👩‍🍳 Again this morning I create my frittata recipe into vegan quiche. I made all vegan sausage potato cheese quiche as a practice run for Easter Brunch. Hopefully it turns out this delicious on Easter. I forgot to mention, yesterday I was at Caputos and I walked by Taralli
Delicious little Italian crackers from Puglia. I like the pepper flavor. Read the ingredients and decided to make my homemade ones. So that’s what I did. What a yummy little snack I just ate. Enjoy Easter spring break. Make something delish to share. 🐇🥕🪻🐢💕👩‍🍳

Good Morning Worldit is me❤️🐢👩‍🍳this morning bread (actually turning them into crackers ) is going to be use with my Easter cream cheese dip. These little panini are mixed with dried fruit whole nuts and seeds. The smell in my kitchen this morning is fantastic. I cannnot wait to try them and see if they are as yummy as they smell. I will be slicing them thinly and then reheating to brown and crisp up. I still am not sure on the cream cheese flavor yet. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of this wonderful Sunday. Good morning world it is me❤️🐢👩‍🍳today Maya asked for a cookie…I had none, so vegan Pizzelle are my solution. Maya is Nonni helper. They are basically our Cialdoni but made with different irons and modified recipe. They are pretty delicious. My taste test was at least 3-4 Pizzelle. Just making sure they turned out right. This is my first time making vegan Pizzelle. Pretty yummy. I love Maya and my pictures. Have a sweet day everyone. ❤️👩‍🍳🐢

Good morning world it is me❤️🐢👩‍🍳. Buon giorno 🥰 We know it coming to the end of the season when I start making tomato sauce.
Cricket and I went up to the Madison Wisconsin farmers market this past weekend. It’s always so wonderful to walk around the capital building and shop produce. I just love doing that. Needless to say when you get home you have to start cooking. Ofcourse, I totally bought more than thought I did. But, I manage to get everything cooked.
Now I need to get outside and tend to my own garden.

Good afternoon world it is me❤️🐢👩‍🍳This summer is going by so fast. One of most favorite meals comes from my garden. So simple, yet so delicious. I cannot explain the flavors jumping around in your mouth. Fried zucchini and zucchini flowers, a small plate of baby lettuces, cucumbers tomatoes and onions , sprinkled with fresh parsley basil and chives, touched with olive oil and aged balsamic. It’s so very yummy.

Good Evening World it is me💕🐢👩‍🍳 my friends Andrew and Matt we’re in Italy, they stopped at one of their favorite restaurants and ordered this cherry almond tart. My mouth has been watering ever since I saw the picture. I developed this recipe maybe a year ago. I altered it a bit for today’s recipe. I did make it vegan, but next time I think I’ll try just it regular. I must say it is delicious. I had to have a second piece. I wish everyone sweet black cherry tart day. Ciao a presto 🥰

Good morning world it is me ❤️🎄🐢👩‍🍳 this year for some reason I am not into baking. Even though in a lifetime there was not a year I did not make Befana and Cialdoni and various American cookies. So I made Cialdoni. That may be all I do….or maybe not! I had a few get together so far this December and they turn out so nice. Cialdoni did turn out yummy. So possibly it will inspire me. Good morning world it is me ❤️🎄🐢🧑‍🍳I think it is good! I’ll need to cut into the large panettone and see if I got airily holes and ribbons. The small one was tasty with some hole pockets and ribbons.
Mario Casini and Michelle Casini I have your date and chocolate made. Not sure how I will get it to you.….it should keep for a few days. I am pleased this year! Now on to my other traditional Christmas goodies ! I am happy .👩‍🍳🐢🎄

Good morning world it is me❤️🎄👩‍🍳🥖 I love the holidays and all their traditions. This year is no exception I am starting out my bread week with focaccia, semolina bread and Panettone being the most labor intensive and almost 30 plus hour to make.
If you know me you know panettone has been my challenge since 2016! I am a bit picky though. I want it to be perfect. This years looks very promising. I am cooking the larger breads now.
Unfortunately, I had to open the oven and move the breads slightly because they were touching the heating element. Hopefull it will not cause my bread to drop !
Crossing all my finger’s! I will be posting the panettone pictures later.

For now just the bread photos. Maya enjoyed just baked warm bread for her breakfast. She is sound asleep with a full tummy and having sweet happy dreams as I write this. Che Bella vita❤️a presto 🧑‍🍳ciao❤️

Good morning world it is me❤️🦃🍽🍾👩‍🍳 The holiday officialy begins for me now that the caramel is done! Probably my favorite candy 😋 they are so yummy. This year as you can probably see I added flaked salt. We will see if it stays as a regular in the pan for next year.
I personally have not had salted caramel ever. Taste test for sure! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving week sharing the love joy and laughter of family and friends.

Good morning world it is me🦃🎄❤️👩‍🍳 this morning I was up at 4:00 am again! What is going on with me this week?So, I decided to be productive this morning. Sugo is on the stove cooking and will be ready for the holidays in a few hours. I already made a vegan lasagna so I guess I will make the regular meat sauce and cheese lasagna next for my Christmas parties. Guess what everyone will be eating! With Tessy and Don Giovanni coming soon at least they will not have to eat Vegan! I will be able to make a quick pasta when needed. Good evening world it is me 🎃👩‍🍳🐢❤️I cannot believe we are at Halloween weekend! This year has flown by. Busy as can be. Been a while since I made anything worth talking about. Today I had a bit of free time and decided to make Vegan apple cider donuts with cinnamon sugar dusting. Had to taste my creation and I must say pretty good! I am getting better at this vegan baking which I had been struggling with! I will send some over to Angie and Max home tomorrow. I hope they overnight well. I hope everyone enjoys this fun weekend!

Good morning world it is me 💕🐢👩‍🍳 I just saw an ad for the sandwich Croque Monsieur which just happens to be one of my Most favorite, only coming in second to a mortadella sandwich on crispy outside soft inside Italian bread ! Needless to say being Vegan I have not had either in over a year!
Maybe it’s time for a cheat day!
Carmina Rojas Cook makes the world’s best Croque Monsieur. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Good morning world it is me ❤️🐢👩‍🍳this weekend was all about making “The Sauce”! Not to many tomatoes out there yet this year but enough for a good amount Pomodoro and Pizza sauces.
The best part is making myself a yummy plate of rigatoni with fresh tomato sauce. I must say I just love when you make that first plate of pasta and ladle the sauce onto the pasta from the pot cooking on your stove! It’s a Yummy and so satisfying taste test after such a labor intense process! So worth it.
When I make sauce it’s somewhat bitter sweet because summer is almost coming to an end. Hopefull this year it lasts a bit longer. I hope you all will get to enjoy a delicious plate of pasta soon. Ciao a presto🫙🥫🍝 ❤️👩‍🍳

Good morning world it is me❤️🐢👩‍🍳todays yummy snack is a low sugar mixed berry preserve and French Boule’ from bread dough I made yesterday. Waiting for my girl to wake up from her nap. Just Wasting a bit of time! Time for a fresh berry preserve and bread taste! Life is delicious. Ciao ciao
