I have recently seen that a lot of people are engaging and/or viewing my page. Thank you all and always appreciate your support. Much of what I put up on my page is helpful tips or advice so just wanted to offer you some interesting feedback I receive daily regarding the current pest season.

I often do a lot of research and look into predictions of what pests are going to be the most common invaders. Well this summer itā€™s looking like the year of the cicada is upon us. With that comes its biggest predator; the cicada killer wasp. Large and very daunting looking; a bit more bark than bite though. However they will tear up your lawn as they dig their cicada tunnels. In addition, heavy predictions are in for a very active mosquito, camel back cricket, and stink bug season. Just a heads up as the season presses on.

We are here to offer advice and offer our services as needed. Currently we are running a great spring/summer promotion. Reach out for details.

You can reach us at 914-325-6511 or via email at [email protected].

Thanks all.

3 of these 4 pests are here and not going anywhere. Take precautions to avoid stings from these pests as they can result in much more than an annoying irritation. Protects yourselves and your families and call us to remove these often dangerous stinging insects from your home. And please for no other reason than personal safety, donā€™t try to self remediate if you are seeing consistent activity.

For those of you that think fire bombing, using a hose, or knocking a hornets nest out of the park with a bat, think again. They will haunt you. It needs to be properly treated and extracted. What you see here is post treatment and removal. Imagine without treatment

Great action shot with another nest extraction

From this to that in a flash. Not an easy extraction, but we got her done. Proud of this kid. Hornet sting. He stood his ground securing the ladder for me two stories up and took one for the team. Bill has himself a little trophy.

Here is something to keep in mind while doing spring yard work or even just enjoying your yard. Wrapping tape sticky side out around the ankles seems to work pretty good for catching ticks.

Wasps and other stinging insect nests come in a variety of different colors, shapes, and sizes. Pictured on the left is a mud dauber nest found at one of our customersā€™ homes. The picture on the right is a closer look at what these types of nests look like. Mud daubers are not often aggressive but can become belligerent when threatened. With this all too common species and unique nest design, stinging is often rare but never rule out that possibility. That said, let us help to determine what kind of flying insects are targeting your home.

Have an ā€antasticā€ Day

Here we have a common example of the damage these little tiny home invaders can do. Tearing through any kind of paper to get to a food source is nothing to mice. Ripped through each of these individual popcorn bags and left a trail of popcorn destruction littered with droppings.

You Bugginā€™ Tip of the Day: Try and place as many food items as possible in a protected Rubbermaid container or other type of strong Tupperware hard plastic container. And always take your breakfast cereals out of the plastic bags and boxes and place in a cereal container. All of this will help to protect your food and home from rodent damage.

Have an ā€œAntastic Day. ā€œ
