Perseverance, Passion and Purpose: Finding My Way
Andrew will take the audience on a journey through his life, talking about how he once thought dyslexic would swallow him up and take away any possibility of living to his fullest potential. He was born with a gift that showed him that while reading and writing once felt detrimental, it was there to show him where to look for his true purpose in life.

As humans, we sometimes become our dark side cause, that's all we can see. So Andrew will take everyone on a journey of self-mastery about how he has been able to embrace dyslexia and let it be seen as a light and how he has become the loving face of dyslexia for his country.

2-time Olympian Andrew Lewis's motto is "hard work pays," and even after a dyslexia diagnosis during his early school years, he challenged himself to do his best and focus on what he loved, sailing. Andrew became the first sailor from Trinidad to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics and recovered from a near-death experience to make a come-back in time for the Rio 2016 Olympics. Andrew is a firm believer in giving back to the dyslexia community. While at home in Trinidad, he runs several programs with The Andrew Lewis Sailing Foundation and embraces opportunities to mentor children of different backgrounds.

A focused, driven, and determined individual, Andrew embodies all the traits of a young professional athlete, true sportsman, and overall humanitarian.

The Andrew Lewis Sailing Foundation is all about collaborating. We like to find ways to bring people with a similar vision together. When I was putting together this experience, all I could think about is imagine if I could have more time with these youths what I can do. One day I will cause that's what I am creating. I love to coach, inspire, mentor and really to just love.

When I realized we could pull off this weekend experience off safely, I went for it, and Republic Bank as always, pulled through with full support. Massive massive thank you from everyone.

For many years I have been motivating people from all over sweet T&T alongside my brother Don La Foucade From the time the Olympics was postponed and I really got a good understanding of what was happening in the world, I said I need to do something to help the ones this will affect the most, especially back home in T&T. From the moment Don La Foucade and I had the initial conversation, the Holy Spirit made me feel like we had to do something eternally positive. We were able to conceptualize the idea and all we needed was a platform. The boss above took things into His hands, and next thing you know, the vision was alive and in full effect. Huge huge thanks to Republic Bank. Two months later, after many many amazing experiences with so many attendees and panelists, I can’t help but say positivity is a way of life that just sets you free. We have completed this mission we set out and I want to say a massive thanks to everyone involved, especially Don La Foucade and Republic Bank. This mission may be over, but positivity will forever live! You never know what the Almighty has in life for us next. The vision and dream has been sent out and we hope to see you all soon.
