One of the most hurtful things to me is to see a grown man cry. It hurts because I realize it’s a build up of so much unbearable pain. To see a man’s shoulders drop to his chest- his head hung low- his tone of voice lowered due to lack of strength- his motivation weakened and his eyes filled with tears shows his strength with living in silence. But when that man cries out to you please LISTEN and take heed to each word; It doesn’t come often. A man is bred to bear pain, not to cry, to fight all- even a lion if approached. With that,that man has the capability to carry much in his heart as well as upon his shoulders. Give him a hug to show u hear him and you care. He doesn’t need your money. He doesn’t need you to cook a meal for him. He just needs someone to understand. To understand that his daily living is a battle within itself. He can’t wake up and choose to be weak even if his body or mind says so. Not negating us women, just bringing more acknowledgement to our men out here fighting daily. Rather it’s fighting financially, mentally or emotionally they all fight! No matter the age- they all fight! Please give props to our men followed by a nice hand shake or a hug for the daily fight- it will make a world of a difference. Love y’all.

Think of this my loves.… I have a 4 year old baby. He does not know all of the hardship and heartache I have experienced in my past. His young tender mine couldn’t handle that as well as me not wanting to bestow that hurt into his heart. This post is in regards to thee elders. It is many things that they have been thru that we are unaware of. They carry much pain in their hearts that they have had to remain silent about. They suffer from mental illnesses as well as physical ailments that cause daily strife. They push through, they love unconditionally and they TRY! May not be the best Mom or Dad or Grandparent that you hoped for or assume to be; Please know that they have and are giving their all. Please cut then some slack. We are all human and have flaws. Forgive. Love. Appreciate. We all will one day cross over to the other side. Let’s make our journey here the most loving presence that we can create for all. I love you all. Truly.
