Tomorrow...
Today we remember and honor those who tragically lost their lives on December 7th, 1941 at Pearl Harbor.
Let us never forget this pivotal moment in our history and the extraordinary bravery of those who fought that day.
Next time you're out walking at lake or river, please bring a bag for trash. Seems to always be something to grab off the ground.
Let’s get into the Christmas spirit and make a difference in our community! 🎅🏼
This year, volunteer with us at the CRRC. We're stocking the shelves here to make sure all families have meals on their tables.
Not only will we be able to bring smiles to those who are struggling, but we’ll also be able to build a stronger bond with the people around us. We're always better when we work together!
I saw this picture and first thing I saw was Faith. I am also so grateful for the support of the people of Comal County.
Looking forward to seeing you December 7th!

Good news!
I just got word from TXDOT, letting me know that the contractor who...ummm...decimated our beloved bluebonnet patch at the rest stop on 306 reseeded with 40 lbs of bluebonnet seeds and added topsoil to the area in October.
Hopefully, our beautiful little patch will be blooming in the spring!

Today is Small Business Saturday. Join me by supporting local businesses. Whether you are in Bulverde, Spring Branch, Startzville, Canyon Lake, or New Braunfels, there are small businesses that rely on your support. Often these small businesses are those that directly support our local community through youth athletics, scouts or many other non-profit initiatives. Your support makes a difference. Have a wonderful day!
Today and every day, I'm thankful for my incredible wife and children but this Thanksgiving is extra special to our family.
With them right by my side, I officially filed to run for your Comal County Commissioner Precinct 1.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve you and make a positive impact in our community. I'm excited and ready to give my all to this journey!
Make plans to check this out!
We're 9 days out! Are you ready to experience Canyon Park's first ever synchronized drive-thru lightshow with Lone Star Light Show ?

Boating plans this weekend? Please check out the following from WORD.....
At this time, WORD will be leaving boat ramp 18 in Canyon Park open on Saturdays and Sundays with the following changes:
- The entrance gates will be open 7 AM – 1 PM.
- All boats must be off the water and out of the park by 4 PM. Vehicles remaining in the park after 4 PM may be towed.
- Entry fee remains the same at $5 per vehicle registered in Comal County and $20 per vehicle registered out of County.
- Only the boat ramp will be open, the rest of the Park is not open and not able to be accessed by the public.
- In the event of damages, vandalism, or behavior issues, WORD may close the boat ramp down.
- This schedule will be reassessed after each weekend to determine continued operation.
Canyon Park is normally closed at this time of year. WORD recognizes that only boat ramps 18 and 19 are currently usable and wants to continue to provide this service. Please understand that there are significant challenges to doing so including staffing, upkeep, and ongoing park projects and infrastructure concerns. The Lone Star Light Show starts this Friday and runs 6 days a week starting at 5:30 PM. The company running the show has been very understanding and accommodating of WORD trying to keep the ramp open while they are setting up and running the show, and we thank them for their support of the community.

I attended the Comal Trinity Groundwater Conservation District meeting on Monday. Obviously it's hard to have an abundance of groundwater without an abundance of rainwater. As you can see, Comal County is still in an Extreme Drought. We also had the 5th driest September on record and the 13th driest year to date over the past 129 years.
The next 2 slides depict the water level in feet, a YTD comparison.
Bottom line: please continue to conserve because it will take significant rainfall and a very long time to allow the Trinity Aquifer to recover.
Hard work and dedication is how we get things done. It is what we raised our children to understand and how I will apply my principles and management experience working for you as County Commissioner.
Commissioners shared the voting details from the proposition election. The image details the results. Take away is that 17.64% of 134,707 registered voters cast a ballot in this election.

That’s a wrap! Another 10 days of Wurstfest is in the books. I’m grateful for the opportunity to volunteer my time with the Lions AND get to see friends and neighbors at the same time. Can’t wait to do it all again in 2024!
A few drops of rain didn't keep the fun from Wurstfest last night! Sausage on a stick and bacon mac n' cheese wurst were, once again, the most popular! Hope to see you there!
Today is Veterans Day, and we honor those who have served our country with appreciation and gratitude. It takes courage, honor, and strength to dedicate yourself to the service of your country – something we should all remember and commemorate.
This is wonderful news!...
