Still dreaming with our doors closed ✌🏼 Antigua is on total lockdown, but we are lucky to work with artisans who can continue to craft from home. Times are tough and we can only hope the world moves into a healthier and happier future SOON!
These styles are passing all the wear tests this week! Send us photos of yours in action ✨✨.
Hello from (most of) our team! We’re a close group that first came together to produce handmade shoes for . Over the years we learned about the overflowing creativity and abilities of our artisan partners, and we wanted to open up our workshop to even more creation. Antigua Sole was born to be a place that designers, brands, and artisans could come together to dream and bring their creations to life. If you contact us, it will be one of us in this picture replying! Saludos from Victor, Leonel, Hanna, Luis, Daniel and Melvin ✨✨

Details on our Bruja boot in brown leather. The boot you’ve (I’ve) always wanted ✨✨
When you like something, make a lot of them. -our motto and our second pair of Bruja boots. We’re still playing with the heel height and width, and might need to make them in one more color to decide. 🥳 We’ve gotten requests for black leather next — any other colors you want to see?? We’ll get these online by tomorrow - in the meantime, you can order a pair in Green Leather and just make a note at checkout about your ideal leather choice!
A boot town with lots of personality. All of our artisans are from Pastores, a historical shoe-making town just a few minutes from Antigua. Our workshop was located in Pastores for six years before we recently moved to Antigua to be able to receive more visitors and host classes! A piece of our hearts will always be in this quirky little 👢 cobbler corner of Guatemala
Friday morning leather run to Pastores. ✨ We’ve got a last minute pair of wedding sandals to design and so came to check out all of the variations on “gray” leathers. Ideal end-of-the-week creativity stretching.
New boots out of the workshop this week: from year-long musings to paper pattern to my feet! Swipe to see the pattern in its baby stages and the finished product✨ we’ve been dreaming of a lace-up, feminine boot for years and finally made it happen. Before we lived in Guatemala, we would have had a hard time finding it on a map. And we hear it often from visitors, that Guatemala is a hidden gem. It’s the truth! We live and work in Antigua, so it is special to us, but there are countless more beautiful towns and areas to explore in Guatemala. If you’re thinking of visiting, get in touch! We’ll share our favorite things to do 🙂 and of course, come visit the workshop while you’re here!
In this day and age, it’s easy to not know how things are made or to simply forget to wonder about their origins. Processes are hidden behind secure factory walls in who-knows-where towns and put together by who-knows-who. We absolutely love holding pieces in our hands, sharing their story, and talking about how they’re sourced and put together and why. Our workshop is open and transparent because we’re proud of our craft and how we’re making things everyday. Here, a wooden heel is being shaped by hand before it’s secured to the sole of our shoes. See the last two posts for the finished product ✨🥳.
Is “Peeps” a registered trademark? Or can we share the name with the sugar bombs? Whatever these will come to be called, they’re too cute not to share. More colors coming out soon. DM us if you’re interested and we’ll send you color options.
Fuzzy shoes for you, fuzzy shoes for me. What should we call these babies? They’re made from fuzzy sheep’s wool, dyed in our favorite earthy colors and built onto a 2 inch wooden heel 🍂🐑.
Waking up to these sunny skies all winter long is just one of the many reasons we love calling Antigua home. Weather like this keeps us feeling happy, refreshed and inspired every day ✨ .
Co-creating designs that matter! We love bringing fresh ideas to our artisans and bringing them to life together. Laughter makes it even better ✨✨
Taking a new style for a spin around our favorite neighborhood terrace. These came out perfectly on their first sample and they just look so good on ✨✨ Coming to the site soon!
Leonel, one of our ride or die artisans, shaping the soles of a sandal while we watch in awe. Leonel is a third generation shoemaker who has led us through thousands of custom orders over the past seven years. Here’s to hoping we’ll have him by our side for thousands more 🛠.
