Bryan's Hope

This page follows the build and events of a show truck. The truck is being built as a dedication to my son and other victims of su***de. This is my HOPE.

This truck may not save every family from the pain but if it saves one it will be worth it.

Doing these videos is hard mentally and emotionally but it's a uncomfortable subject that needs more light shined on it. Additionally every name on this truck deserves to have their stories told. They were here. They still matter. They can still make a difference in another person's life.

September Shows

Photos from Bryan's Hope's post 19/07/2023

Well back to work on Thursday. Going to take out the old trailer this week since it's all no tarp and I get better fuel economy with it. It may look ugly but still strong and it will light up the night. As for shows this year we are going to be in St. Ignace, MI in mid Sept and I am seriously considering GBATS at 4States in Joplin, MO the weekend after St. Ignace at that would likely be all this year.

These were taken by Rolling Forward Photography LLC. I didn't ask for them nor did she want payment. They insisted on doing it. Even though we received no awards we received plenty of recognition for those attending Even from other competitors.

Got home last night. Off loaded all show stuff ready to get back to work. We didn't receive any awards which surprised a lot of other competitors. Like I always say you are either drawn to the truck or shy away from it and I saw that with the judges out of 5-6 judges only 1 spent more than 1 minute looking at the truck. However did spend time with families of those honored on the truck. Met a lot of people. It felt like non stop conversations all 3 days with some coming back multiple times to hang out. Lost my voice for a bit Saturday morning. The biggest thing that saddens me is the number of families that expressed interest in adding a loved one to the truck at the show. We are currently carrying 56 lives. I lost track but I wouldn't be surprised if we are representing and honoring 70 or more by the next show. I know I ran out of business cards I had with me (about 20) Christey gave out some of her cards plus I have a digital business card that got used as well.

Well one more day of show. Find out tomorrow it we placed but in the end that doesn't matter. Got to spend time with 2 families of those honored on the truck. Thank you so much for coming out. Times like that help me continue to have the strength to keep moving forward. Diesel made friends with another driver competing and she painted me these rocks. Most important of all it was almost non stop conversations the last 2 days. People were gathered around the truck numerous times even waiting for 10 minutes or more to talk to us. A couple of short interviews including one from a high school student from China (wise beyond his years). Possibly another interview and even a small photo shoot. I know the message we all want to spread is getting out. Tonight I was talking with people about the truck, about the people riding with me and mental health in general until almost midnight.
