**NEW: Mental Game Training for ADULT REC SPORTS**

We are super excited today to announce our brand new training, the “Raise Your Inner Game Sports Academy 18+ Edition.”*

CLICK HERE to learn more: https://www.raiseyourinnergame.com/academy-info-18

I know … we normally talk about kids and sports. But today, it’s about grownups, because we play sports, too, and *we have the same mental game struggles that kids do.*

Here’s the thing. Every athlete, at every age, basically wants the same thing—we want to play well, we want to feel good about our performance, and we want to have fun while we do it.

The problem is, too often, our mental game is keeping that from happening.

Practice is fun. We play well there. But in competition, we get stuck in our head, our play suffers, and it’s super frustrating because we have no idea how to keep it from happening.

That’s why our Sports Academy training is so exciting—it fixes that problem. And we hear new success stories virtually every day.

Unfortunately, up until now, you could only take the training if you were a teenager, through our Private or Group coaching.

But that changes today.

We’ve taken our full coaching program, step-by-step, and turned it into a self-directed course that adults can take on their own—and that we can offer at a fraction of the cost.

Best of all, for a limited time, we’re offering it at a special introductory price of just $149 USD (regular $249).

Anyway, we’ll have more to say in the coming days. But you can check it out now and get started right away, if you want.

CLICK HERE to learn more and get started: https://www.raiseyourinnergame.com/academy-info-18

Here’s to new heights (for grownups)!

P.S. Private Coaching starts at $1,500 USD. This gives you the EXACT SAME TRAINING for 90% off. Plus you can take it on your own time, at your own pace. And as always, it comes with a 100% money-back guarantee. CLICK THE BUTTON to learn more and get started today!

P.P.S. *Technically, it’s still called the Raise Your Inner Game Sports Academy. We renamed the version we use in our Private and Group Coaching to the “U18 Edition.”

**“It’s DEFINITELY working for the girls! …” [ Coach Amanda’s story ]**

I bet you're busy (because Summer always is) so I'll get right to it. I have a new short video that I think you’ll want to see …

CLICK HERE to watch the video: https://raiseyourinnergame.com/amanda

It’s a story from Amanda (one of our certified coaches) about how the Raise Your Inner Game Sport Academy training helped the girls on her team have more confidence, resilience, and mental focus—and that’s not even all of it.

Why do I think you’ll want to see it? Because it’s inspiring! (Also, it’s short. :-))

As a coach, it can be SO frustrating to watch your players struggle and not be able to help, and Amanda speaks to that frustration in the video.

You can even start to think that it can’t be fixed, that the problem and frustration are just going to continue forever.

But Amanda’s story shows that **it doesn’t have to be that way.** You CAN boost your team’s mental game, do it quickly, and see the exact kinds of changes you’ve been hoping for.

If that isn’t inspiring, I don’t know what is. But maybe that’s just me. :-)

Anyway, click the link, check out Amanda’s story. Just takes a minute. (Actually, 3:31) And then you can get back to your busy Summer with an extra spring in your step, imagining how great it would feel to see similar changes in your team.

**[ NEW POST ] “How To Help Athletes Be Consistent With Their Training”**

CLICK HERE to listen/read: https://www.raiseyourinnergame.com/blog/jumpstart

One of the things that makes it hard to have the impact you want as a coach is that a lot of the work you need your athletes to do to improve, they need to do on their own. Drills, training, etc.,—a lot of it is self-directed work.

And the reality is, it is just hard to stay focused on self-directed work, especially for teenagers, and ESPECIALLY in today’s screen-addicted world.

So, that’s what this post is about. “How To Help Athletes Be Consistent With Their Training.”

In it, I share a simple system I’ve used that makes a huge difference in helping people stay focused and on track with a self-directed program.

If this is an issue for you and your team, you should definitely check this one out.

Enjoy!

**[ NEW POST ] “The 5 Keys To A Healthier, Stronger Mental Game”**

Every day, it seems like more top-level athletes are coming forward to talk about their mental health issues. IMO, this is a beautiful and important thing that’s also long overdue.

Problem is, it’s still not enough. Being open about our struggles doesn’t automatically make them go away. We still need to learn how to deal with them and, ideally, do so before they get so big as to become a major problem.

That’s what this post is about: “The 5 Keys To A Healthier, Stronger Mental Game.”

This is not an ordinary post. This actually shares the core of the Raise Your Inner Game Sports Academy material.

So, if you are at all interested in helping your athletes improve their mental game, you really want to catch this one. :-)

16/11/2021

So ... how’s your Inner Game lately? Feeling calm and connected? Staying focused and getting things done? Have plenty of energy?

Sorry, trick questions. :-)

Here’s the reality: Everyone I know is feeling stressed out and overwhelmed and wishes their life felt more balanced, productive, and meaningful.

So, I guess the good news is, if you’re feeling that way, you’re not alone. :-)

The situation is also not a big surprise. When you think about how fast-paced and stressful life has become (not to mention how crazy the last couple of years have been!), it makes perfect sense. Of course we feel that way.

So, the second piece of good news is, it’s not your fault.

The problem is, the stress is turning us into people we don’t want to be—short, testy, negative, depressed, angry. It keeps us from making the difference we could and from enjoying our lives the way we should.

That’s why Raise Your Inner Game is the perfect gift to give yourself this season.

1) It will help you manage the extra stress of the Holidays so you can be more present with family and friends and fully enjoy the season.

2) The simple, practical, and PROVEN tools in this book help you rise above ALL the stress in your life so you can consistently be your best self no matter what’s going on around you.

I know that can sound too good to be true, but it really does make a remarkable difference that you will feel almost immediately.

And for a limited time, you can get the Hardcover or Audiobook editions at a special Holiday price of between 20% and 40% off.

CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE AND ORDER: https://www.raiseyourinnergame.com/book-audiobook

"I use the tools I learned in this book regularly. They're outstanding. I love the book and highly recommend it!"
- Stephana Johnson, stephanajohnson.com

Bottom line, raising your Inner Game is one of the best things you’ll ever do for yourself and there’s no better time to get started.

We hope you can take advantage of this special Holiday offer and we wish you the very best for the season!

David and the Sports Academy Team

P.S. It’s a little hard to tell from the picture but the hardcover is quite a good-looking book in person. If you already have a copy for yourself, it would make an excellent gift for someone else on your list. Enjoy!

**[ NEW POST ] “Can Troubles Just Be ‘Gray Skies Passing Over’?”**

One thing for sure, hard times are a part of life—of EVERY life.

But it’s also true that hard times pass, no matter how unlikely it may seem at the time.

And the best way to help them pass is to have the right perspective as they’re happening.

That’s what this post is about. How to approach hard times in a way that helps put them behind us as quickly as possible.

It’s a helpful self-mastery skill for coaches and players alike.

**[ NEW POST ] “How much pushing is too much?”**

Every coach knows that athletes need a push in order to go beyond what they think they’re capable of.

The question is, how much is too much? When does pushing cross the line from helpful to harmful?

It’s an important question because it affects everything about the success of your program.

So, that’s what this week’s post is about—how much pushing is too much?

**[ NEW POST ] “Why Don’t Coaches Do More Mental Game Training? [ honest question ]”**

I saw a tweet the other day that got me thinking again about the insane gap between the importance of the mental game and the energy we put into training and developing it.

Everyone knows it’s the key to performing at our highest level. It’s at least 50% of what it takes to succeed. But virtually no one puts anywhere near that amount of time and energy into working on it.

It really is pretty crazy when you think about it.

Anyway, that’s what I talk about in this post—why don’t we give the mental game the attention it deserves?

Enjoy!

P.S. As you’ll hear, I am super interested in hearing your thoughts on this question. So please do take a moment to drop me a note and let me know. Thanks!

**[ NEW POST ] “Is Meditation Required For Peak Performance?”**

With so many elite athletes saying that meditation is the key to performing at their highest level, it would be easy to conclude that you HAVE to do it in order to be your best.

The problem is, most people can’t.

So, what to do? Does that mean they will never reach their full potential?

The short answer is no, they absolutely can.

And that’s what I talk about in this week’s post—how athletes can get the benefits of meditation without doing a minute of sitting.

Enjoy!

Please Do NOT Listen To Your Body (Without Doing This First) 02/07/2021

**[ NEW POST ] “Please Do NOT Listen To Your Body (Without Doing This First)”**

I was reading Chris Bosh’s book, “Letters to a Young Athlete” (which is great, by the way), and something he said reminded me how much it bugs me when people suggest you should “listen to your body.”

Now, I know what they’re getting at, of course. But the truth is, it’s actually terrible advice, UNLESS you add one important element.

Unfortunately, almost no one does. :-) Which is why this is one of the most powerful aspects of learning to raise your Inner Game.

So, that’s what this post is about—the correct way to take what your body is telling you and use it to help you be your best.

Enjoy!

18/06/2021

**[ NEW POST ] “That’s great, but tell me HOW!”**

There is a ton of advice out there on how an athlete can raise their game. And no surprise, it tends to say that the key is to boost their mental game.

The problem is, it doesn’t say much about HOW to do that, which ultimately makes the advice essentially worthless.

I mean really, if you’re trying to get someone to do something but you don’t tell them how to do it, what do you expect? :-)

Anyway, that’s what this post is about — the reasons most mental game advice falls flat and what you can do to help YOUR athletes break through and reach their potential.

Enjoy!

**[ NEW POST ] “What do shoes and socks have to do with the mental game?”**

Here’s an interesting question: When’s the best time to start working with an athlete on their mental game? First thing? In the off-season? Only when there’s a problem?

I heard a great story the other day about legendary UCLA basketball coach, John Wooden, that got me thinking about that exact question.

No surprise, I suppose, but I ended up with a conclusion that you might not expect. :-)

Seriously though, this is actually a very important question, so I do hope you give this one a listen.

And besides, you can’t really lose—even if you don’t agree with my conclusion, it’s still a REALLY good story. :-)

Enjoy!
