2016 Texas Relays
First time out to Texas Relays, what an event! I have definitely been missing out. Good start to the 2016 campaign, felt good getting back over ten hurdles and knocking some rust off, had been a while since I last raced. Thanks to UT Coach Tonja, Coach Mario and Coach Kareem for all the hospitality!
Finally home after a long 2015 season! Raced from Jan 31-Sep 3. Wasn't a perfect season, but was excellent nonetheless. It is far more important to celebrate and take pride in the goals you accomplished and not worry/stress yourself about the ones that didn't go your way. Thank you for all of your continued support, time to rest up and get ready for a very tough 2016 season!

VIDEO: PanAm Games 13.07 (Championship record)
I had run 13.17 and won the first time we ran the final. I had to re-run the final 30 minutes later and was able to produce a better result. After the initial shock of being told "you've got to run it again" wore off, I was happy to get a second shot because I was disappointed with the original time.
A key to being a professional athlete is not only possessing laser-like focus, but possessing the ability to re-focus that attention on the task at hand when things don't go to plan.
Running 13.15, 13.17 and 13.07 in a span of three hours, while not ideal, has allowed me to know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, my fitness level is right where it needs to be in advance of the World Championships next month.
This was the first time USA won Gold at the PanAm Games since the great Roger Kingdom did it in 1995
PanAm Games was a major success for me, overcoming adversity and coming home with the Gold, in a new Championship record time! The city of Toronto were great hosts and I am so happy to be a part of the successful event. Thank you all for the continued support!

Wonderful feeling crossing the finish line, winning my 4th USA Championship title in a season best time 13.04. We'll be sending a strong 110 hurdle squad to the World Championships in Beijing this summer!
Was in Ireland with my physio/mechanic Realta Clinic - Star Geoghegan getting back healthy
Kicked off the 2014 Diamond League season out here in Doha, Qatar last night with the win in =SB 13.23 (-0.5). Most importantly was able to secure the full four points in an effort to win my third IAAF Diamond League title.
The starter was on bad form, I doubt half of us were even in the set position before the gun was shot, but at the end of the day, what's separates most people is not only possessing the ability to focus, but to re-focus when less than ideal conditions present themselves. I was very happy with my competitive composure and not allowing the mishap at the start (.248 reaction time, that's even poor for 400m runners) to ruin the race.
I have a couple days to chill out here and take in some sights then it's off to Shanghai, China for the second leg of the Diamond League series. Bettina, the organizers and staff for Doha did an excellent job, everything here was A+. Definitely look forward to future appearances here!
Had fun chatting with you guys on Facebook! Continue to check out the Doha Diamond League page for more updates leading up to Friday's competition!

The 2013 Track & Field News World Rankings have been released and I finished number one. That is a great achievement, but I am more proud of the fact that I have been ranked in the top 10 in the world for eight consecutive years.
I started as a professional in 2005, came out of Howard University with no sponsorship support, put all my belongings on a Greyhound bus and moved to Orlando with $2000 to my name, but I had a dream. Spent three years working 8 hour days, going to train afterwards trying to make it in this sport. It's funny, I use to work at Niketown down here, now I go to that same store and my poster is in the running section. Never let anyone tell you what you can and can not do, like I said before, dreams don't have deadlines.
I never imagined I would be taken to these heights. Through all of the great years and perceived "down" years, I am proud of the consistent level of performance I have tried to bring race in and race out, year in and year out for you guys. Without you the fans, we athletes are nothing. Thanks for the continued support! On to 2014!
Bring on 2014!!
