As our conference approaches, we’d like to introduce you to members of our Executive Advisory Board who have driven the planning of this conference. This is Tonille Tyrori Turner. She says, “I joined We Move Forward: Diverse Perspectives on S*x Work to advocate for the millennial generation, to be a part of the voices that make changes within the cultural landscape of systemic discrimination towards transgender individuals — most importantly: healthcare, discrimination, job opportunities, housing, homelessness, families, and the list goes on.” We are incredibly grateful to Ms. Turner for her willingness to share her time, experiences and expertise. We are certain that the conference will be better because of it. Click on "Get Tickets" button below to register.

Should S*x Work Be Decriminalized? Some Activists Say It's Time | Houston Public Media 12/09/2019

There are many viewpoints in the decriminalization conversation, each with their own rationale and reasoning. In this morally and politically charged discussion, we, as public health professionals, want to highlight arguments focused on the health and safety of people within the s*x trade. We want to help vulnerable people, not judge them. We Move Forward: Diverse Perspectives in S*x Work is a place for us to discuss these important nuances of policy that focus on the well-being of those most vulnerable, discussions that bring in diverse viewpoints and perspectives on these issues so that we have a holistic and deep conversation. Attendance is free, click our event link below to register and find out more.

We're even more excited to announce an opportunity to explore the complexities of this topic here in Houston!! We Move Forward: Diverse Perspectives in S*x Work will bring together individuals with lived experience and other experts in academia, service provision, and policymaking to identify the community's needs and develop plans that promote positive health and safety outcomes for all.
