G2G - Given 2 (to) Give is one of the newest life groups in FGA Centre Penang, led by Melissa Wan. It all started when a group of people who were new to the church, gathered together on alternate Friday evenings to worship, pray and share life.

"While we all come from different backgrounds and different states in Malaysia, what has bonded us over the years is that we are all on the same "boat". The boat of transition where we transitioned from where we came from to a brand new church community in FGA.

What I appreciate the most about our life group sessions is how we can share our lives openly with one another. This includes the celebratory "mountain top" moments and the "valley" moments in our lives. Each of us always have the opportunity to share, which is why our life group sessions can take up more than 2 hours sometimes!" - Melissa, G2G's life group leader.

Vibrant and welcoming, our Tamil ministry was founded in response to the need to provide a spiritual home for the Tamil-speaking community. Today, its services (both in Air Itam and Kulim) are attended by a multi-generational congregation who take every opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.

𝖶𝗈𝗋𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗉, 𝖶𝗈𝗋𝖽 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖶𝗂𝗇

The Bethel life group (LG) meets at the home of our LG leaders, Ooi and Lay Cheng. Our members come from different parts of Penang island, from as far as Tanjung Bungah to as near as Sungai Ara and Bayan Baru.

Our LG strongly emphasizes on the Word, Worship and Winning souls for His kingdom. On top of having good food and fellowship with each other, we have also been supporting mission works for the last 20 years. While more than half of our life group members came to know Christ in the later years of their lives, we collectively, are constantly on the lookout for pre-believers that we can bring into the fold of God's family.

𝐻𝑖𝑠 𝐿𝑜𝑣𝑒 ministry was established by our North Zone Chinese congregation as a way to embody Jesus' love during the pandemic. This ministry began by distributing essential items to underprivileged families in December 2020. The ministry has continued to do this every Christmas and Easter since then, and has even expanded its reach to several migrant communities in Penang. With more volunteers added to the team in January 2023, the ministry has been able to focus on visiting families and homes on a monthly basis.

𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔. At FGA Centre, we are empowered to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the community around us and make His kindness tangible through our actions.

The 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 is one way that we do this. Formed to be the hands and feet of Jesus, the Street Ministry meets the practical needs of the homeless community in Georgetown. You'll often find a team of volunteers in Komtar on Thursday evenings distributing hot beverages and hygiene kits, or spending time talking with the homeless community.

In the same spirit, the Welfare Ministry ministers to individuals or families facing hardship or crisis by temporarily assisting them in their basic needs through financial support.

We have seen great things come out of these ministries, including personal salvations, homeless individuals who were able to get back on their feet after being connected to jobs, and individuals who were able to start their businesses again with the financial support provided.

- Reach out to Pastor Shamala to be part of the Street Ministry.
- Support the Welfare Fund by putting your tithes and offering in an envelope marked "For Welfare Fund".

"Our family of four has been attending life group under Gabriel and Eunice’s leadership for the past year. It has been a great year of joining together for worship, sharing of His word, and makan-makan.

Kevin and I felt so much love and warmth from our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ during our first few visits, making us want to spread His love to others. We are now so much more connected to our loving God as our prayer and faith life have also been strengthened in the past year.

Our two boys also look forward to life group sessions as they can meet up and play with their friends. They both have learned a lot in Mighty Warriors and are excited to share what they learned from Sunday school with others"

The heartfelt story of Kevin Chan and Sarah Yin illustrates how their involvement in the Young Adults life group brought them closer to the family of God and strengthened their connection with their own family.
