I could not resist this mouthwatering riot of all things pink painting !! Every morning as I drive through the high street my spirits are lifted upon seeing such an abundance of colour…. the coffee and cakes are very scrumptious as well 😋🧁

This building has been many different restaurants over the years .. i can only remember an Italian 🤔 Whenever I’ve eaten here it has always been a success but I do love the variety and exotic nature of this fab Turkish restaurant.
We certainly are lucky to be able to sample such a variety of foods from around the globe !

Such a cute looking florists on the high street with such a lot to offer inside !! This one was painted in the spring when everything was bursting into colour. It certainly stands out with its delicate shades of purples and blues on its facade whatever the season.

Following on from my journey around Newport Pagnell there are some very distinctive buildings to be found. You can’t miss the Pin Petch Thai restaurant ( formerly Odells)sitting just in front of the Church of St Peters and St Paul’s . The old sign can still be seen above the front door !! I’m sure it’s seen many changes over the years ??

With all the changes around travelling abroad it’s all everyone seems to be talking about ! Should I stay or should I go ? 🤔 It’s such a tricky decision! I miss sitting quietly for a few hours, watching the world go by and trying to capture a snapshot of everyday life with my trusty paints!!

I was humbled and honoured when asked to paint Holly the most treasured and beloved companion of a lovely local lady. Losing a much loved pet is not easy and for some takes a long time,if ever, to come to terms with. This makes sharing this painting with the owner’s permission even more poignant.❤️

Following on from National Dog Day last Thursday I’m celebrating too with a painting I recently finished of the very handsome Kosan ! I love how he’s sat at the entrance of his home basking in the sunshine. Such an impressive breed the Rhodesian Ridgeback. He certainly looks like he’s in charge !!

Driving through this village I spotted the most wonderful display of white hydrangeas. I had to stop and get up close as the blooms were so large and beautiful ( as big as my head !!)
Anyone know where this striking cottage with its spectacular front floral display is ?
Our hydrangeas aren’t anywhere near as impressive as this !!

Hermitage Farm in Moulsoe. A very handsome looking building which I believe will be no more soon due to the land needed for redevelopment? Such a shame to tear down so much history not to mention a family home ! So glad I had the opportunity to visit, take lots of photos and paint it as a lasting memory.

I drive past this village sign many times a week on my travels around Milton Keynes. I love how it sits on a little triangle of land surrounded by shrubs and flowers... it depicts the village church of St. Simon and Jude and a long gone Castle !! Got me wondering about other pictorial village signs that are as pretty 🤔

Feeling nostalgic and thinking about my family,my children and especially my grandchildren. This sentiment definitely holds true for me for all of them.
Painted this house for a couple whose children had grown up and out of the family home and they themselves were moving on.
Whilst I sometimes think about how different... quieter, cleaner, and cheaper !!!... it would be once ours have flown the nest I know without a shadow of a doubt I will miss them terribly.. note to self .. treasure every day with the 2 left at home ❤️❤️

Was undecided on which painting to share on Easter Sunday ... traditional or whimsical.... decided to add both !!
With three grown up children Easter is no longer filled with excitement on how many chocolate eggs they’ve received... all they want is a home cooked , with all the trimmings ... roast dinner with all the family. At least I can give them that ... with a few less around the table. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
