"Bloom" by k. white ✨ lately I have been questioning my path and trying my best not to compare my journey in life to another's and just stopping to appreciate where I am and cherishing the time it takes to build the life I want. Hope this poem resonates with those who have the same feelings of comparing themselves to others and to know you aren't the only one. We water our own gardens beautifully ✨

"Vulnerable" by k. white ✨ I wrote this piece to sum up the mentally heavy year it's been, after experiencing the best and worst this year has had to offer. Seeing the continually growing list of black names of loved ones we've lost to anti-blackness and disgusting hate has chipped away at us. But through countless discussions, debates, crying, learning, and just living in this beautiful black skin that the world seems to question, I've found the best resistance is to keep loving myself, finding joy, and smiling at a system that would rather me die than to see me smile. Black lives matter. Black love and joy matters. Black women, Black trans lives, and Black men matter. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow we are always going to matter 🖤
