The Office of the Liga ng mga Barangay headed by Hon. Samuel M. Rodriguez, conducted the Public Hearing & Proposed Ordinance on Strengthening Purok Organization in the City of Mati,Davao Oriental as Partner in Institutionalizing Good Governance at the Grassroots Level attended by the City Councilors: Hon Eric N. Rabat, Hon. Edwin A. Barrera,Hon. Pedrito C. Peña,Jr. ,Hon.Roger A.Pabio,the City Health Officer Dr. Ben Hur G. Catbagan, CLGOO Joseph G. Porgatorio, The Punong Barangay's of the City of Mati,and the visitors Atty. Karen Silver M. Manluyang,City Legal Officer,Ma'am Cheryl B. Cabaobao,City Civil Registrar Officer,Ma'am Eleonor G. Sambas,City Agriculturist & from the DepEd -Mati City Division Sir Leorisyl Siarot.

The Liga ng mga Barangay regular meeting was called to order @9:05 in the morning. All the 26 Punong Barangays are present to give report on their respective barangay's current issues and concerns particularly on the Social Amelioration Program (SAP), Distribution of Food Packs & the continued Community Quarantine Checkpoint. Our City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat was also present to personally hear the manifestations of the PBs and gave her commendation to the Barangay Officials headed by the PBs for their efforts to secure our City.

CLGOO Mr. Joseph Porgatorio reminded essential information with regard to GCQ implementation in our Province & clarified some queries from the body.

To give the council an update on health status of the City, Dr. Ben Hur G. Catbagan, Jr. stated that Mati is doing well to cope with this health crisis and asked the support of all Matinian in order for us to Win and Heal us One in this battle.

Finally, Liga ng mga Barangay President Samuel M. Rodriguez assured everyone in the council that all their issues and concerns will be carried out to the proper person/office for immediate response.

Food Packs Distribution Schedule from the Province of Davao Oriental😘🤗👍👊

The 26 Punong Barangays of the City of Mati just conducted today the collaboration meeting with the City Health Officer, Dr. Ben Hur G. Catbagan, Jr. and the City Local Government Operations Officer Mr. Joseph G. Porgatorio in their call of duty to fight against COVID 19.

Part of the meeting is the agreement of all Punong Barangays the full implementation of Provincial Ordinance No.16-22-03-2020, " An Ordinance Imposing a Curfew from 9' oclock in the evening to 5 o'clock in the morning in the Province of Davao Oriental Due to the Outbreak of Novel Corona Virus Disease".

City Councilor Stephen Paul L. Uy informed the body on the creation of monitoring team for the price control of prime commodities and give sternwarning for violators shall be dealt with accordingly.
