Ok
You may not have seen me active on social media, but that doesn’t mean we have truly disappeared!
Yes, I understand that to have a truly successful online shop you need a strong online presence, but I haven’t got that in me. Hashtags, engagement, views, reels, yikes!
What I do have in me is new ideas, inspirations, experiments, etc to continue to expand the tiny brand that is One Find at a Time. I’m so excited to begin work on adding to the treasures that we already provide. Thank you guys for all your support and I can’t wait to show you all what’s next - even if the posts updates are sporadic and not aligning with an algorithm.

Fall is here and spooky season upon us!! Don’t be haunted with regret over missing out on these gorgeous, two texture dangly earrings. Buy a pair for your favorite ghost, ghoul, witch or werewolf!

Why did I start selling glass? Firstly, so I could save really beautiful, old pieces that were at risk of being thrown away and reintroduce them to people who would love them and secondly, so I could have space to buy more for myself!! Many of these pieces (including that stunning lamp) are available on our Etsy - link in bio!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Etsy is off vacation mode! Had to put the store on hold while we sold in person then did inventory to make sure all of our posts were up to date, with such small batches and few duplicates we didn't want someone to fall in love with a sold set. A lot of pieces were sold so if you see something you like don't wait to snap it up! Because we are planning to do more live fairs this year. We had a great time in Alexandria thank you to everyone that bought something or just stopped by, it means so much to a small business like us to get your support and know others appreciate this art.

You online only fans may notice a lot of new jewelry in this video, we went on a bit of a spree crafting for the fair and now that it's done we will begin posting again. So keep an eye out for updates here announcing new etsy listings over the coming days/weeks.
As always thank you all for your support.

We had an amazing time selling jewelry at the Old Town Arts and Crafts Fair yesterday! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to say hi and buy a pair of earrings! So many little pieces of my art have gone to so many new homes and I am over the moon.

💛🐘Since the relaunch of One Find at a Time, our goal has been to create a online shop that blends vintage items with fun newly crafted creations.

Elephants are loyal, and as the saying goes, never forget. They are curious, smart and enjoy discovering new things. They are the embodiment of uniting a love for the old and the new. 🐘 💛

Relaunch Day 7/7 is finally here. Thank you everyone for sticking with us and thank you to everyone who has joined us the past week. This has been a great week and we love sharing our passions with you all and seeing how much you all share them with us. Following this rapid fire week we will be going to a twice a month schedule which we will advertise in our stories reels and small posts. Drops will continue to include both sets of our jewelry and vintage glass we find so stay tuned for more!

Today we start with an amazing set of red and white earrings with accents of light blue and dark green. These artsy earrings are some of our favorite and have been a joy to work on as we experiment with the new molds. We can see why they're so popular. So please if there's any more molds you'd like to see in our style let us know we love experimenting!

And on the glass side we continue our theme of ending on a bang. Or a big note. We also continue our theme of the difficulty of definitively identifying vintage glass. We have a gorgeous 14" cranberry opalescent swirl lamp. It puts off an absolutely stunning pink light we've tried to capture here and is the second favorite piece in our collection (and the best we're willing to part with). Taken alone this lamp base is almost certainly Fenton. However the lamp shade is the star of the show and that's where we have run into some confusion. The ruffles on top are just slightly too big for what we see in the ads, with 1" peak to peak. But there are other Fenton pieces with this large ruffle size. It's clearly meant to go with the Fenton base so is this a mistake by the glass blower? A replacement for a broken original? We haven't found many of this style lamp to compare with, the hobnail style was significantly more widely adopted. So we're trying to figure that out but wanted to let you all see this absolutely gorgeous lamp in all it's glory.

Thank you all for being with us this week and keep watching our page for teasers of our next drop!

Relaunch Day 6/7! Back on track

And we're starting with the earrings coming out from that reel so many of you loved to watch the other day. That blue and gold cane has resulted in some absolutely awesome pairs of earrings with the help of some new cutters we're getting to add some new more dynamic shapes to our collections. We hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do. If there's any more patterns or shapes you guys have seen elsewhere you'd like in our style let us know below and we'll try them out!

Then onto our glass. These last 2 days we are going to quality over quantity. Or at least size over quantity. We have an Indiana Glass Company Harvest Grape punch bowl and cups in orange carnival glass. We have 11 cups and this absolutely massive 12in diameter punch bowl in that classic and gorgeous orange carnival glass. Now how do we ship this thing? Thank you for following along with our relaunch and we'll see you tomorrow!

Day 5/7 of relaunch!
We know it’s not a Wednesday, but today we are wearing pink!
The listings today feature some hot pink earrings along with some vintage glass in a much more subtle blush. Different shades of pink mix together with small amounts of gold rolled into the clay to create glittering lines sure to catch the light.

We've also got two pink pieces to match these earrings. The first proved to be abit of a pain to research with lots of conflicting IDs out there. Looks like the molds were sold to several companies who then produced it in different colors at different times. So what we believe we have here is a Summit Art Glass children's punch bowl. This is missing the Vogelsong "V" stamp which we're sure someone more familiar with the company will know dates this piece. But this post is already late enough as is so you may see a future post when we come back to unravel this little mystery.

The second pink piece was much easier for us to identify. It is a Hocking glass Old Cafe pattern sometimes confused for the very similar Fortune pattern. Identifying this piece we have to shout out the many depression glass lovers who have for decades collected these pieces and noticed how similar some molds are and defined the differences. Without their work finding and analyzing 1930s advertisements and production notes something like this would be almost impossible for newer fans like us to figure out. The difference between the two patterns boils down to a slight rounding of the lines and a different ratio of large to small panels. So thank you to Catlady Kate for doing the hard work so we can properly appreciate this gorgeous piece.

Pink is definitely a well loved and appreciated color among depression glass collectors. Would love to know what other colors people are collecting out there.

Day three of seven of the relaunch!! Today we have listed an eclectic group of things sure to catch your eye.

Swirled and layered earrings, milk glass, and my personal favorite - uranium glass!

In the early 1900s glass was colored green with uranium, meaning it glows fiercely under black light. Luckily these really fun antiques don’t give off enough radiation to be harmful.
Stop by the shop today to get your own glowing piece of history!

Relaunch day 2/7!

Today is wineglass day! Don't ask me why I'm thinking of wine so much at noon on a Wednesday but I am so it's wineglass day.

We have the next batch of polymer clay earrings for you. What at first seems a more muted almost geological theme shows bright flashes of green and blue as the glitter embedded in the resin catches the light. With a moderately UV reactive resin these earrings are a personal favorite as they can be worn to work or out at night where club lights make them shine a bright white.

For glass today we are a bit closer to the modern day than most of our listings with 3 wildly different styles and colors of wine glass from the 70s and 80s. We have showings from Avon, Fostoria and Indiana glass with the Cape Cod, Monet and King's Thumbprint styles respectively.

What do you guys think about themed drops? Should we keep bundling our glassware together or just release what we find pretty that day? What themes do you want to see? By decade, color, style, company? Let us know down below! There's still plenty of glass to get through the next few days.

Well what a year it's been huh? We apologize for taking such a long hiatus but are happy to announce we are back in business! 2/22/22 is the date of our 2nd launch and we hope you all will appreciate everything we are bringing to the store. New and previously unlisted vintage glass and now introducing ~handmade~ polymer earrings! Beth has been working hard on these and we are so excited for you all to see a product we are proud to bring to you. Don't worry! We are not moving away from vintage finds and glass, those will continue.

To celebrate our second launch watch our Etsy, Facebook and Insta for daily drops and updates for the next *7* days. We have many more earnings and glass pieces that we will be listing and hope you will enjoy before going to a more manageable 2 week drop schedule.

This week enjoy some handmade polymer rainbow earrings, and 3 gorgeous pieces featuring 1960s Imperial and Libbey Glass plus our OLDEST piece in the collection. An 1880s Adam's Company complete compote. It's easy to find half of these pieces but we've got both the base and lid for you in remarkable condition.

Keep checking back to be first to see all the new pieces going up in our shop. Thank you all for your patience this past year, and we are so incredibly excited to be able to share our passions with you all again!

Check out our store where all these listings are now live!

Here’s a gorgeous grill plate in Madrid pattern. Reproduction grill plates only had two sections, and the originals had three, which is how you can tell this piece is from the thirties.
