Ocala Foodies

I know it's not Ocala, but wanted to share some meals in Philadelphia this afternoon. After completing today's studies at the National Constitution center, my dad and I were able to meet up and go for a nice, casual German meal... Constitutional readings centered on Freedom of Press in store tonight, for discussion tomorrow. ❤️ Bruahaus Schmitz

The food was good, not great. I did enjoy the basil and a touch of fig jam on my chicken sandwich. The server was nice, but not around enough. We will give it a go another time!

Nothing beats brunch at home...

One final lobster roll at the end of the season at Lena's! The lobster roll was delicious. He had a steak sandwich, meh. See you in October Lena's!

Each time I come to Ivy on the Square I wonder why we don't come more often... we'll, there is the parking downtown, and no reservations taken. So we've taken to coming early for lunch. It's fun to watch the place fill up with happy patrons. I love the decor here and service is always great, especially at the bar. I tried a signature cocktail, the Dillinger that was delightfully fresh. We haven't been able to not order the bacon wrapped dates. The Thai inspired salad was delicious! I may not ever order anything else! A fantastic Friday lunch in downtown Ocala!

I do love El Toreo for a sensory flashback to a great Atlanta Mexican restaurant I frequented in the 1980's. This Chile Relleno is delicious, and just the way I like it! I love their chunky guacamole too! My server was excellent, as was the Casamiga Anejo with my meal. Plus, I have another meal for tomorrow. Gracia!

While downtown running errands, there was a parking space in front of Big Hammock. I have been wanting to try it! I had a delicious Admiral Bird sandwich, and some of the best slaw ever. I brought half home for another meal. The server, Andrew was superb, and I enjoyed sitting at the counter watching food prep! Next time a Ramen bowl for me! #

After a great lunch here the other day, my husband and I came for breakfast. My husband had delicious corned beef hash with over easy eggs. I had a very different and delectable eggs Benedict with eggs poached hard and a side of spinach. I took the pics after we had dug in... we really enjoyed our meal and the service was great!

My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch at Live Fire Chefs. She had the Reuben, and I had the Steak Frites. Both were delicious and perfectly prepared! Service was excellent! #

So I finally tried Catrina Cocina! Delicious and great service at the bar!

A good breakfast at Mimi's... I had the juevos rancheros, he had corned beef!

Indy 500 Memorial Day table...

A delicious, light lunch... a crisp house salad with fresh ginger dressing, and hearty Tom Kah chicken soup which I added rice to... a nice lemongrass flavor with the soup.

The best Nam Sod in town... imho

Good dinner at Flying Boat Tap Room... though no pulled pork this evening... service is good, food not spectacular, other than the potato salad!

Delicious brunch at Katya with my dad! We shared specially prepared Foie Gras by Executive Chef Tony. Dad had Crabcake Benedict, and I had a delicious brisket tostado elevated with black truffle! A spectacular and special meal! Service was impeccable... oh and we had the dulce de leche empanados for dessert! To die for... nap time!

Lunch was great at The Yellow Pony! He had the Cowboy Burger perfectly cooked! I had the Crunchy Chicken Sliders! I loved the Asian slaw!

Great meal and service at Las Margaritas! They have the best Chilli Relleno Poblanos....the shrimp diablo is SPICY!

Monkeying around on a Monday at Mellow Mushroom with a slice of Meatball and a small salad with a delicious apple vinaigrette dressing. Food was perfect and the service excellent!

Another great meal at Lena's! Haddock sandwich for him, a lobster roll for me! We shared crab bites as an appetizer! Great service with a smile! Delicious Almond Joy icecream! Thank you, a veggie smoothies for dinnert tonight!

Last minute dinner at Longhorns. We couldn't get a reservation last minute anywhere else. We sat the bar and had a delicious meal ang great service! We usually don't think of going, but it was excellent!

A delicious lunch at one of our favorite places to go when in that area! We really try to avoid 200! Good service in our favorite seats at the bar!

Delicious lunch at Ivy on the Square for two. We shared the bacon wrapped figs. I had the blueberry mojito and for an entree the crispy baked chicken. He had the smoked turkey croissant with a side salad! Great service, great food!

We had a great birthday dinner at Grace's Japanese Steakhouse last night!

A favorite lunch in Ocala at Royal Orchid... Nam Sod and Chicken Coconut Soup! Yum!
