I have had a desire to learn more about Jesus since the day I asked Him to save me. I am still learning!
Did God mean this when He declared in Genesis:
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Are we to look for signs in the great lights!
15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Did God set them so to rule over the day and over the night?
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

There is a half moon tonight. Today is the 7th of Elul on the Jewish calendar.
On the 1st day of any Jewish month there is a new moon so it just barely becomes visible. By the 14th of Elul, a week from today, there will be a full moon that night.
When the month Elul ends on 15 September at 6pm, the month of Tishrei will begin. This is the month that celebrates Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh HaShanah is the feast of trumpets.
Feast of trumpets???
1Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The only time we read in the Bible that God sounds a trumpet:
1Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Notice that today, Thursday, is Nisan the 15th which is the High Sabbath of first day of unleavened bread. A Sabbath day for a Jew. They cannot work today so listening to the Dennis Prager show on AM 560 I expected not to hear Dennis Prager today.
He is off today for the High Sabbath. Honoring his religious beliefs.
