GOV. TAMBUWAL ORDERED PAYMENT OF GRATUITY WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT, NO FAVORITISM OF ANY SORT; FIRST COME FIRST SERVE


The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR has directed the State Ministries of Finance and that of Establishment and Pension Matters to commence payment of the state outstanding gratuity to the retired civil servants.

In a statement issued at the end of an emergency meeting held between the two Ministries under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioners, Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki and Hon. Sani Bunu Yabo, the two Ministries assured that they are ready to start payment this month of August 2020.

According to the statement, the Governor has directed that the payment procedure of first to retire first to be paid must be strictly observed.

The statement therefore urged beneficiaries to stay calm for their turn, as everyone will receive their payments according to the sequence of their retirement.

The two Ministries had expressed readiness to commence the payment immediately, stressing, that any attempt to lobby or favoritism will not be entertained.
The statement urged the beneficiaries to continue to pray for the success of the administration the welfare of the citizen remained it topmost priority.

5. Kashi na biyar, a ranar Litinin 14th September, 2020, na Teachers Service Board, a dakin taro na Sultan Maccido Institute.

Following the declaration of Friday, 21st August, 2020 as 1st Muharram 1442, by the Sultanate Council, Sokoto, the general public is hereby informed that the State Governor, Tr. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, (MUTAWALLEN SOKOTO), has declared tomorrow, Friday, 21st August, 2020 as a Public Holiday in commemoration of the new Islamic Year, 1442 AH

2. The Governor wishes the entire Muslim Ummah a happy new Islamic year as well as Allah's guidance and blessings. He also enjoins people of the state to continue to pray for peace and progress in the state and the country in general.
