Organic CBD
*
Is organic CBD oil better? The best way to decide this is to look at the facts. Thanks to pristine growing conditions, organic h**p is “cleaner” because it’s free from synthetic-chemical pesticides and fertilizers that hasn’t been genetically modified or exposed to chemical toxins. As a result, organic CBD oil is a more-natural product.
*
Different types of Organic CBD:
*
Organic CBD Isolate: The singular compound, typically 98-99 percent pure, used as-is, added to liquids or fatty products like butter.
*
Organic CBD Wax: This concentrate is like a thick balm and can produce almost instant effects. Either CBD isolate or full spectrum.
*
Organic CBD Topicals: Includes soaps, lotions, salves/ointments and shampoos enhanced with CBD.
*
Organic CBD Edibles: Typically marketed as baked goods or candies.
*
Organic CBD Vapes: Pure CBD liquids processed for va**ng.
*
Organic CBD Pills and Capsules: Early research shows promising nueroprotection, anti-anxiety and pain reducing properties.
Using CBD for Recovery
According to a 2018 review of 132 original studies published in Frontiers in Neurology CBD can indeed reduce inflammation in the body and help improve pain and mobility in patients with multiple sclerosis. “It is anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antiemetic, antipsychotic, and neuroprotective,” the review study’s authors wrote.
“Broadly speaking, it does decrease inflammation when it’s rubbed on muscles as an ointment or taken orally,” Dr. Perry Solomon, previous chief medical officer and founding member of HelloMD, told MensHealth.
*
CBD is commonly regarded as safe to use. Even the doctors published in Frontiers in Neurology, said: “High doses of up to 1,500 mg per day and chronic use have been repeatedly shown to be well tolerated by humans.” You shouldn’t need that much, though figuring out how much you do need can be tricky, as there is no “standard” dose.
*
One rule of thumb is 1-6 milligrams of CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight based on pain levels. Another is to start with 5-10mg per day and increase by 5-10mg until you feel relief. This isn’t perfect and requires trial and error, but it’ll help you find a starting point.

Proper Dosage When Taking CBD Oil
Disclaimer! This is NOT medical advice.
If you’re currently taking medication and would like to try CBD, it’s essential to discuss this with your doctor.
*
If you’re using CBD oil, it’ll likely come in a dropper bottle. The diagram above specifies how much CBD is in a single drop. From there, you can figure out how many drops you need to use.
*
It is best to start with a smaller dosage and gradually increase it by 5mg each week until you feel that it’s effectively treating your symptoms.
*
One drop is about 0.05 milliliters (mL). That is not a full dropper — just a single drop.
*
This means that a 10-mL bottle of CBD oil contains 200 drops. And if the packaging for that 10-mL bottle says that the bottle contains 1,000 mg of CBD, each drop will contain about 5 mg of CBD.
*
So, to have 20 mg of that type of CBD oil, you should take four drops.

CBD In 50 States
The one thing you need to know is that CBD is legal in all 50 states as long as it contains less than 0.3% of THC.
*
One outcome of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 was the H**p Farming Act of 2018. This bill removed h**p (and cannabis containing less than 0.3% THC) from the list of Schedule I controlled substances.
This bill effectively made CBD legal in all 50 states, as long as it contains less than 0.3% of THC.
*
So long story short, CBD and h**p oil are legal in all 50 states. Today anyone in the US can easily buy CBD oil online, on the shelves of health stores, and even in some pet stores.

How CBD works with your Endocannabinoid System
There are three parts to the Endocannabinoid System:
*Cannabinoid receptors
*Endocannabinoids
*Metabolic enzymes
Each of these key components work together with the central nervous system to help maintain homeostasis and provide balance within our bodily functions.
*
The body contains two types of endocannabinoid receptors called;
*CB1 receptors (which are mostly found in the central nervous system) and
*CB2 receptors (which are mostly found in your peripheral nervous system). They bind to cannabinoids produced within the body — like anandamide and 2-AG — to produce a wide range of physiological effects.
*
CBD, the non-psychoactive component of the cannabis plant, is a phytocannabinoid. Similar to endocannabinoids produced within the body, phytocannabinoids interact with cannabinoid receptors to create a series of therapeutic effects and highlights your body’s natural efforts towards wellness.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system in a different and indirect capacity.
CBD also works in tandem with an increased amount of anandamide-often referred to as the “bliss molecule”. Anandamide affects the brain’s systems of pleasure and motivation.

H**p! The Plant That Keeps on Giving
One of the many great factors about h**p is that it has over 50,000 uses. In fact, according to research, it may have more documented uses than any other plant on the planet. Part of the reason for that is there simply is no waste in a h**p plant. Each of the various components and portions of the plant, from the roots to the leaves, are valuable.

3 things to look for when shopping for CBD products
Organic
First, you want to make sure that you’re buying organic h**p products. Why? Well, h**p is easy to grow organically- if it’s grown correctly, it should need any pesticides or herbicides.
*
Full-spectrum
The CBD products you buy should be full-spectrum or broad spectrum. CBD-isolate or CBD-only products could increase the risk of side effects. We need the whole plant, not chemically-processed sections of it. If you get CBD isolates, you’re missing out on all the benefits you’d get from full-spectrum extracts!
The reason herbs work so well is that they aren’t just one chemical, they’re a composite of hundreds of chemicals that work together to balance and support each other- and you!
*
Third-party testing
It’s important to find CBD products that have been tested and verified.
And your products shouldn’t just say “pure CBD” or “therapeutic grade”. Those labels don’t actually mean anything, they’re more like taglines. Instead, look for labels or footnotes that say the product has been third-party tested.
There are a ton of CBD products out on the market now, and many of them are from companies that are just looking to make a quick buck- they might not have much CBD in them at all, or the CBD might be tainted somehow.
Internal and third-party testing can look for pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals in different CBD products. Even though tested products might cost a little bit more, that’s better than buying something that will either be ineffective or toxic!
Testing can also ensure an accurate amount of THC and CBD. Any CBD product is legally required to be under 0.3% THC content.
CBD and Mental Health
*
Researchers have proved that CBD can effectively be used to treat serious medical conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, depression, and anxiety.
CBD products, such as patches, tinctures, and topicals have become widely popular because they do not require direct consumption, as users can simply apply the patch, oil, or cream to their body.
*
One area of interest in the application of CBD has been to treat anxiety and social anxiety disorders. It should be noted that the only FDA approved use of CBD has been in the treatment of epilepsy. However, recent clinical trials have shown that CBD has been effective in reducing anxiety.
*
The exact way CBD works to treat anxiety is not fully understood, but this has not stopped millions from using CBD. In a 2019 Gallup poll, it is reported that 14% of all Americans are using CBD. Another poll reported that 37% of CBD users used CBD products for anxiety, and of these participants 63% reporting it as being extremely effective.
*
For the 40 million Americans struggling with anxiety disorders, CBD offers the possibility of a holistic approach to anxiety management by utilising the natural interactions of the cannabis plant with the body.
HAPPY EARTH DAY!!
As the earth continues to slowly heal itself and our quarantine lifestyle continues. Let us all spread love and positive energy today and everyday! 🌍
3 Strains of Cannabis
Indica -
Most Known for: having a physically sedating effect on the body
Often chosen for: quiet occasions, pre-sleep consumption, low impact activities at home
Looks like: short, stocky plants with broad leaves
Origin: India (although emerging research has suggested it may have actually originated in Afghanistan)
Sativa -
Most Known for: cerebral effects
Often chosen for: physical activity, social gatherings and more active occasions
Looks like: tall, lanky plants with skinny leaves
Origin: regions close to the equator (Colombia, Mexico, Thailand)
Hybrid -
Hybrids can inherit traits from both parent strains. Hybrids can be either Indica or Sativa dominant in their genetic makeup and effects. Each component can add something different to the overall experience. Strains can be created that allow the various properties of the two parents to combine with each other and create something different from either of the two strains on their own.
Happy 420!!
The phrase “420” started with a bunch of high school students. Back in 1971, a group of kids at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California, got in the habit of meeting at 4:20 to smoke after school. When they’d see each other in the hallways during the day, their shorthand was “420 Louis,” meaning, “Let’s meet at the Louis Pasteur statue at 4:20 to smoke.”
Somehow, the phrase caught on—and when the Grateful Dead eventually picked it up, “420” spread through the greater community like wildfire. What began as a silly code passed between classes is now a worldwide event for smokers and legalization activists everywhere—not a bad accomplishment for a bunch of high school stoners.
POSITIVE ENERGY ONLY!! Happy 420!!

CBD Benefits for Your Dog
CBD can treat a lot of common problems your dog may have including, anxiety, cancer pain, arthritis and seizures. CBD dog treats contain absolutly zero amount of THC, so don’t worry about your dog getting ‘high’. It just won’t happen.
Your pet has natural cannabinoids called anandamide. The cannabinoids attache to receptors in the brain, or other parts of your pet’s body for longer than anandamide can. This leads to 4+ hours of relief off of 1 dose.
3 Types of CBD
Full Spectrum -
Full spectrum CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant with all of the other compounds in the plant, including terpenes, essential oils, and other cannabinoids. Because full spectrum CBD contains all of the plant’s compounds, that means it contains THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the part of the cannabis plant that causes intoxicating side effects and can show up on drug tests.
Broad Spectrum -
Broad spectrum CBD is CBD that has been extracted from the cannabis plant with all of the other compounds from the plant except for THC. That means it contains terpenes, essential oils, and other cannabinoids from the plant. This should not result in intoxicating effects, but there is still more research to be done. And because there is no THC in broad spectrum CBD, it shouldn’t show up on a drug test.
Isolate -
CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD. It’s strictly CBD extracted from the plant with no other compounds or cannabinoids. That means there are no terpenes or essential oils in it. It also contains no THC, so it does not cause intoxicating side effects, and it will not show up on a drug test. It’s simply pure CBD.
Of course, it’s important to remember that also means that you do not get the full benefits of the essential oils that are part of broad spectrum CBD.
**Entourage Effect** -
When we smoke or v**e cannabis, our bodies take in hundreds of botanical compounds like terpenes, flavonoids, essential oils and other cannabinoids all found in full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD.
Each one arrives with unique effects and benefits, and their behavior may change in the presence of other compounds. This is called the entourage effect.
It’s kind of like how your mood might change depending on your social environment. How do you behave when you’re alone, at a party with strangers, or hanging out with your best friend? Your mood and the personality you project shift depending on who’s in the room.
CBD is one of over 100 compounds known as cannabinoids that are found in cannabis or h**p plants. Unlike it’s more famous cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is not psychoactive, meaning that it does not get users high.
