A very Happy 5th Birthday to my baby brother

🐋As summer is fast approaching, we can only hope that this pandemic is no longer. In the mean time, please enjoy this poem I wrote about Summer! 🐬

I wake up to the sun shining through my curtains.
Another sunny day of warmth, happiness, calmness, is certain.
I put on my summer dress, with stripes of blue and white,
Flowing down above my feet,
With a cosy red cardigan, where comfort and creativity meet.

Bright colours and sunny skies,
Months of spending my time outside pass by.
The warm waves rolling across my skin,
A feeling of peace and tranquillity sets in.

I run to the kiosk and bring back ice cream for me and my brothers,
I think to myself, what a lovely sunny day, it’ll be nice with another.
My ice cream melts down my hand,
Dripping down, making polka patterns in the sand.

Looking around, I don’t often see this many people in one place,
Hundreds of towel designs, people trying to find a space.
I guess enjoying summer is something we all have in common,
It’s better than drifting in the cold, with a face of solemn.

Children holding their paper pinwheels to the breeze,
Parents buying beach treats to try and appease.

It’s been a tough year, this makes a nice break,
To unwind and have fun, get rid of the heartache.
The sun goes down,
The sky turns the colour of tangerine
With a mixture of lilac
The beauty of nature, something so serene.

Today has been great,
I wish summer was every day,
It’s not, and that’s okay, it’s worth the wait.

When I create my characters, I also like to design children's clothes at the same time. Just some ideas of outfits I think look sweet, something I'd dress my kids in (if I had any!).

This little cardigan is featured in the one of the first pages of my book ''I am Me''.

Who knows maybe more will come of designing children's clothes in the future? If they are made in an ethical and sustainable way, that would be more preferable! 😊🌱

I am currently in the middle of making my first children's book!
The first book ''I am Me'' is about self love, accepting yourself and understanding it's perfectly fine and good to be different 💙

It'll most likely be an E-Book in the beginning. We will see what happens on the publishing side once I have finished!

The book will be around 14-17 pages long. The full version is aimed at children around 8 years old, and the shorter version is aimed for ages around 4.
