If you have ever traveled to Japan and visited a shrine, you must have seen a vermilion torii gate.
Torii gates are not only erected as gates or symbols leading to shrines, but also represent the boundary between the sacred area inside the shrine (the sacred precinct) and the outside area where people live (the secular world). In addition to this, it is said that torii gates also serve as a barrier to prevent unclean things from entering the shrine.

This photo is of the Kannon statue in Ofuna, Kanagawa Prefecture, taken in April of this year when the cherry blossoms were blooming. Ofuna Kannonji is home to a large white-robed Kannon statue with a total length of about 25 meters. She is affectionately known as ``Kannon-sama'' because she watches over the city with a warm smile from the hill above the west exit of JR Ofuna Station.

Hello from Japan. This large round kettle is manufactured by Akao Aluminum in Japan. The designs that have been passed down in Japan for a long time remind us of the good old Showa era. Its shape is beautiful and balanced. I think it's an excellent design. The Showa era was a long era that lasted from 1926 to 1989, with World War II in between.
