The Maasai jumping dance or the Adamu is a ceremonial rhythmic dance that marks the stage where children become men. They dance with a pattern like jumps on a vibrant ritualistic vocal rhythm with the intentions of leading the path to a new life. Itβs not a regular dance, it lasts for days, itβs the journey to a new stage, it the an intention, itβs like a graduation but 10 times more. Seeing it for the first is breath taking, it shows you how diverse our world is and at the same time how we are all one. When visiting Kenya you must visit the Maasai tribe because itβs the people that show you the true beauty of this world.
