Let us know!

Hans Berger, a renowned German psychiatrist and neurologist, is widely recognized as the "father of EEG" (electroencephalography). In the early 20th century, Berger was determined to explore the electrical activity of the brain, and he began experimenting with various techniques to measure it. He developed a technique to measure the electrical impulses generated by the brain by attaching electrodes to the scalp, amplifying and recording the electrical signals with a galvanometer. In 1924, he successfully recorded the first human EEG from his son's scalp, demonstrating that the brain produces distinct electrical patterns that can be measured and studied. This pioneering discovery, coming up on a century old, revolutionized the study of brain function and led to the development of EEG as a valuable clinical tool for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. Today, EEG continues to be an essential tool in the field of neuroscience, used to study a wide range of brain-related phenomena, from sleep to seizures to consciousness itself.
