YD Convo Starters
Bonded by trauma, turning pain into purpose. Our apparel ignites conversations about tough stuff
"Mental health awareness is an ongoing conversation, but up until recently, it's only been had in whispers. But because a common feature of many moods and anxiety disorders is distorted thinking, talking about it can actually be immensely therapeutic."

Check out this short article that has great info on why conversations matter and don't forget to grab your YD shirt and help us start these conversations and healing. ❤❤️💚💚

🌟 Introducing YD:Where Fashion Meets Healing 🌟
Hey there, fam! 👋🏽Remember YUNG DUMME? Well, we’ve evolved into something bigger, something deeper – we’re now YD, a clothing brand with a purpose‼️ We’re flipping the script on urban apparel, using our tees as more than just threads – they’re conversations starters. 🗣️
We’re diving into the tough stuff: Grief, Mental health, and Trauma. These are topics that often get swept under the rug, but not anymore. 💪🏽With YD, we’re breaking the silence, sparking meaningful discussions, and spreading love and understanding. Join us on this journey of healing and growth. Let’s wear what’s in our heads on our hearts, together. ❤️ 🖤
If you are off tomorrow, take a moment and come join us Yung Dumme World at the Stoughton Public library as we celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and explore the theme of "Pursuing Your Purpose". This will be a great event with some of your favorite vendors in attendance!
This annual celebration is a time to reflect on Dr. King's teachings and how they continue to resonate today.
Today we acknowledge the beginning of National Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month (SHVAM). Enacted in 2000, SHVAM offers an opportunity to educate the public and policymakers about the effect that murder has on families and communities, and uplift the peace-building efforts of survivors. SHVAM provides a dedicated space around the holiday season for survivors to gather in community and celebrate and honor their loved ones. Let's fight to bring awareness this month to the loved ones we have lost. ❤️🖤

Today we acknowledge National Day Of Remembrance for Murder Victims❤️🖤❤️🖤
September 25th was established as a National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims as a result of unanimously passed resolutions by the U.S. Senate on October 16, 2007 (S. Res. 326), and the U.S. House of Representatives on May 14, 2007 (H. Res. 223).
Today we take a moment of SILENCE and pay homage to those we've lost along the way to these senselese acts of violence. ❤️🖤❤️🖤

Boston startup YUNG DUMME raises awareness on community violence ROXBURY—As snow gently fell onto the Roxbury Community College campus, the smell of burger patties and hot dogs wafted into the Student Commons, where booths lined the foyer and people of all ages wore red and black—the official colors for homicide awareness. We are excited to be joining the
Louis D. Brown Peace Institute in their 27th annual Mothers Day Walk for Peace! With our very own Director of Operations working hard to navigate her first mother's day without her son KeAndre', we knew we wanted to create something that she, and others could wear proudly. Our design team understood the assignment (if you ask us), and the tees are officially on pre-order at yungdummeworld.com
Order yours today to ensure you receive in time to join us on the walk. If you're not able to attend the walk, this tee was designed for anyone who has been directly/indirectly affected by homicide, gun or domestic violence.
We wear the ribbon for peace, remembrance, and awareness.
🎗Red and Black for homicide❤️🖤
🎗Orange for gun violence 🧡
🎗Purple for domestic violence
We are feeling blessed today as we read an article written by Annika Chaves which was published in El Planeta, Bostons Latino Daily paper. Annika stumbled across a video posted by our own Kidiah Monique, (Director of Community Outreach) and she reached out for an interview to learn more about us. A week later at the event we were honored to meet Annika, and she covered our Break the Silence Stop the Violence event on February 25th, as part of a college assignment at Boston University. Fast forward 5 weeks later, and our event made it to print!
We are honored, humbled, and blessed that both Annicka and El Planeta would consider YUNG DUMME for the assignment and publication. It is a first step for us in a positive direction of spreading education and awareness.
Take a moment to read the article, and comment below on your thoughts on this Beautiful Good Friday!! ❤️🖤🙏🏽👏🏾🙌🏾
