Bella has been with us for 3 months now after being sadly surrendered by her previous owner, who was moving into a home where animals weren’t allowed. Heartbreakingly, her sibling was kept by a relative, who chose not to want Bella 💔

At 11 years old, Bella is a beautiful British Shorthair who has had her fair share of struggles. The trauma of having her whole world turned upside down after being surrendered after 11 years has meant that Bella has had to learn to trust and accept love and attention. We can only imagine how difficult this has been for her ☹️

On top of this, she’s been treated for a previous untreated flea irritation that led to chronic eczema. After months of love and care, we’ve finally managed to get it under control with daily medication (which is affordable).

But despite everything, Bella is still full of life and looking for her forever home. She’s a diva in the best way and would thrive in a quiet, indoor environment where she can be the queen she truly is.

Happily ever after update from Yuri ❤️

One of our beloved rescues found his forever home just over two months ago, where we recieved the loveliest update on how loved and settled he is with his family.

It’s updates like these that remind us why we do what we do — seeing a cat like Yuri so happy and loved in his new home is the best reward we could ask for 🥰

We have two of the loveliest girls in our care, a mother and daughter duo that are ready to bring joy to a new family! 💕

Kia, the beautiful mum, is around a year old and her adorable daughter Mini is approximately 5-6 months old. These two were found as strays living in a garden , but they’ve quickly shown us how much love they have to give 🥰

Both Kia and Mini are used to being around children, making them perfect companions for a family. Kia is still getting used to other cats, so they’re ideally looking for a home where they won’t have to share their space with other feline friends.

We have a heartwarming update to share! Recently, we took in a lovely pair of sisters, Carina and Celica, who were sadly been thrown out as unwanted pets despite only being babies!

This sweet young family came into our care after Mercedes (a cat who had already had a previous litter of kittens) ended up giving birth in a kind neighbours shed.

Sadly, Mercedes was originally given away online to a family who had not neutered her, she then had fallen pregnant in their care and kept her first four kittens, this time round she was surrendered to us after the neighbour had convinced the family that they could not financially afford an additional 7 mouths.

Now, this lovely family is safe and ready for their forever homes! All come health-checked, flea and worm treated, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. The kittens are too small to be neutered just yet, but Mercedes has been.

Mochi is a 3-year-old sweetheart who hasn’t had the best start in life, but she’s ready for her next chapter 🐈
She came to us earlier this year in very poor health, but with love and care, she’s now thriving and settled.

Mochi is looking for an indoor-only home due to her FIV and FHV status, and she needs to be the only cat in the household. We’re hoping to find a quieter environment, possibly with someone retired or a couple who work from home—Mochi adores human company and is a true lap cat ❤️

She does have occasional flare-ups when stressed, resulting in a poorly eye that needs eyedrops, but otherwise, she’s in great health. Mochi comes vaccinated, microchipped, flea-treated, wormed, and fully health-checked.

Introducing Tesla and Clio, a bonded pair of kittens looking for their forever home!

Tesla is a 10 week-old, high-energy, lap-loving kitten who was sadly being given away freely online. Clio, at 12 weeks old, was surrendered after being purchased as a therapy animal for a young autistic child with high support needs. Although she was only in her previous home for a few days, Clio experienced significant trauma ❤️‍🩹

However, she is now recovering well with the comforting presence of her confident and energetic friend, Tesla (and her foster family!)
Despite their different backgrounds, Tesla and Clio have formed a strong bond since coming into our care. Tesla’s friendly and supportive nature has been a great source of comfort for Clio, helping her feel safe and secure.

We understand that Clio may not be the perfect kitten that everyone dreams of, but we are confident that there is a loving home out there ready to support her through her next chapter alongside Tesla.

After her adorable kitten Delphi was successfully adopted a couple of weeks ago, it’s now Ayla’s turn to find her forever family 💕

Ayla is a young stray mum who spent her early months living in an allotment before she and her one surviving kitten came to us. We estimate her to be around 9-10 months old. Despite her rough start, Ayla has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate cat who loves nothing more than belly rubs. She even gently grabs your hand with her paws to guide you on how to rub her head just the way she likes it! 🐾

While she’s still a little timid, Ayla has shown us that she’s ready to come out of her shell in a loving, quieter home. She enjoys playtime and we believe that, in the long term, she might benefit from having a garden to explore.

Today marks one whole year since the launch of THE STRAY CAT CLUB! 🎉🐾

In just 12 months, we’ve grown from a passionate idea to a thriving cat rescue on a mission to end the cat crisis in the UK. When we started, we were determined to make a difference, and thanks to your incredible support, we’ve made significant strides.

Over the past year, we’ve directly brought 150 animals into our care, not including the countless others we’ve helped trap, transport, and rehome through our partner charities. We’ve achieved charity status, opened our own registered bank account, and we’re just getting started! Currently, we have 43 foster animals in our care, each with their own story of resilience and hope.

But we’re still a small charity, and we couldn’t have come this far without our dedicated volunteers, loving adopters, amazing vet practice’s and the beautiful community that has grown around us. Together, we’ve made an incredible difference, and together, we can do so much more.

The stray cat crisis continues to be overwhelming. Homeless cats are everywhere. Rescues are overflowing with huge waiting lists. There are endless colonies of 30+ breeding cats, and neutering rates are too low. Cat ownership and breeding remain largely unregulated.

This has to stop ‼️

Join us as we continue our mission to rescue and rehome cats in need, educate the public on responsible cat ownership, and campaign for systemic change to protect these vulnerable animals. Based in South East London, our mission extends far beyond our local community. We need your help more than ever to keep going.
