Oliver Scare never disappoints, hundreds of people all gathered yesterday and waited their turn for a chance to walk through and be petrified; myself included!😟
The goal of this video was simple, capture all of the hard work and dedication put in by Selena Owen and this incredible group of volunteers! Oliver Scare raises funds by donation for the Northern Cardiac Fund (Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation) the team uses all of their own money to create, procure and maintain this incredible stockpile of terrifying props, costumes and Halloween decor.
It was really nice to take a small break from finishing off my 2023 wedding films and really try to push my creativity with this video! Mainly, my focus was on sound design, and being creative while still capturing the horror that is Oliver Scare; amazing work team!

Kaitlyn and Logan were two of the most kind-hearted and genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with; everyone at this wedding was such a vibe and I’m happy to have made new friends and memories with everyone involved!❤️
Not only did they get the best weather I can ever remember Thunder Bay having on the May long-weekend; but the day ran so smoothly from start to finish with lots of time for me to get what I needed!
Kaitlyn and Logan hired me as their wedding photographer, but I’ll also be providing them with video of their full ceremony, speeches and first dances. I like to offer this package to my clients when they’re not looking for a full on wedding film, but still want their moments captured in multiple ways. Improving my wedding photography is one way I can continuously strive to get better; build my confidence and add more value for my couples, congratulations you two!

I've wanted to capture the ice breaking apart along the coast of Lake Superior for years now but somehow always ended up missing it; I took a drive up Lakeshore today and managed to capture some gorgeous footage from the air!😊
Aerial footage always gives a unique perspective when compared to being at ground level, it's hard to see the patterns the ice makes from the shore!

I've had the pleasure of working with Guy Walter and the team at the Thunder Bay Botanical Conservatory to document it's renewal project that began last year!😊
For those of you who don't know, producing a video documentary about the Conservatory back in 2020 was actually how I got into filmmaking in the first place. The purpose of that documentary was to generate community support to keep the facility open as it was slated to be closed; it's incredible to see this project come full circle and now I'm creating content around the renewal!
This is the first in a series of videos we've made so far, and there is a LOT more to look forward to in the coming months/years while this renewal continues to pick up steam.

Kim moved out of her house for the entire duration of her renovation, Alyssa Marie Designs and Tony's Cabinets gutted the entire main floor and completely renovated the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, bedrooms and front entranceway!😲
I grew up watching a ton of those HGTV/TLC home renovation shows for years and always wanted to shoot one myself. It was so incredible seeing Kim’s reaction to walking into her home for the first time once it was all completed, make sure you watch until the end!
I’m always trying to tackle new projects that test me both creatively and technically in the film industry, this project required several days of shooting and a ton of site visits to capture all the footage necessary. Alyssa and I even shot and re-shot several parts of this video to make sure we got it just the way we wanted it.
I’m sure we’ll work on more projects like this together in the future, but I’m so happy with how this video turned out; it’s probably in my top five projects to date.

Exciting times!!

We wanted snow, so we drove 30 minutes north of town and then it started snowing, couldn’t have asked for better conditions! I had the pleasure of doing Jacklyn’s grad photos, and now these ones too. I loved how these turned out, always a great time when you’re working with great people!😌
