Greetings my brotha's and sistah's. Recognize one thing, that Paul knew more than anyone what it meant to suffer as a Christian. And yet, he did not think the sufferings of this life and of this age were anything remotely comparable to the glorification of God's saints that awaited the age to come. The sufferings of life are but momentary, like a blip on a radar screen, compared to the endless days of eternity. Stay blessed.

There is no doubt whatsoever that we as men are prone to worry over many things, over how we will get the money for clothes to put on, food and drink, housing, medical care or how we can defend ourselves from the Corronavirus. Like myself you may even worry sometimes over the possibility of losing one of your love ones. But I have come to learn and except that Jesus teaches us that to worry is foolish because we cannot solve anything by worrying about it; and that worry (believe it or not) is sinful, because it shows distrust of God.
Matthew 6:25 says, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" The time that you spend worrying is a time you could be using to say, "thank you Jesus for bringing me through. " Trust and believe God got you.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalms 84:11).
Good parents give to their children. A good mother will eat the burned cookies so that the children can have the good ones. A good father will forego buying a pair of shoes to ensure that his children have shoes. A good parent gives what he can to his children. There is nothing that makes a parent happier than to reward his children and bring them joy. When our children make us proud, we want to give them the best gift we can afford, even it seems extravagant. God gives us everything He has--His grace and glory, His light and protection. He holds nothing back from us. When we walk "uprightly," God pours out His abundant blessing on us. We make Him proud. He is extravagant in His gifts to us and He wishes to shower His children with good things.

Good morning one and all. This morning I read from the book of Roman's and I was reminded in Romans 8:1 that "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." It is strange to me that in this world people don't just "let you off the hook." When you make a mistake, they might forgive the mistake but oftentimes they will not forget it. It's not uncommon for a husband and wife to get into an argument and one of them to bring up some mistake made 10 years before. It's not uncommon for people to have fights or to get upset with each other and rehash things from the past—problems long—forgotten. If you grow up in a town and you have a bad reputation, people don't just let you forget it, even if you have changed your life, turned over a new leaf and you are a brand new person. People will remind you of your past. It's hard to live it down. We are put on trial everyday in the "courts" of the world, and are either found guilty, or acquitted for the sake of peace. We will never be fully innocent in the eyes of the world. In God’s courtroom, things are different. In God’s courtroom, not even acquittal is enough. In His courtroom, we are not just "let off on a technicality." With Him, there is no condemnation. That means that the record has been expunged, our sins and transgressions are as if they had never happened at all. Paul stresses that the love the Father has for us is so great that we have no reason to fear His judgment if we are in Christ. If we walk in the spirit and not the flesh, we can truly be free. The Bible says, "Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death" (Proverbs 10:2). Sometimes we are very possessive or protective of things that tread on the lines of wickedness. We sometimes entertain ourselves with evil. We listen to music, watch movies, read books, and watch TV that glorifies wickedness. Those things will not profit us. We will not gain from them. On the other hand, righteousness will deliver us from death. Think about what in your life is wicked and what is righteous. Focus on the things that you will profit from.

Throughout my years I have learned that everyone has burdens, such as money problems, relationships, work issues, sadness, grief. The problems of life sometimes seem insurmountable. Over and over in the Bible, we are assured that God wants to carry our burdens, but here in Galatians 6:2 we are admonished to "bear one another’s burdens" ( Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.) Just as God takes our cares upon Himself, we are to take the cares of our brothers and sisters upon ourselves. We are to pray with them, cry with them, give them counsel. Whatever it takes to lessen the load for them, we are to do. It is just a part of being in the family of God. We take care of each other.

The Bible says, "My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth." Proverbs 3:11-12 but this is not something I see taking place in our own lives, home and family. Far too many children are being allowed to do whatever they please without any correction. It's as if the children are raising the parents. I get though because one of the most difficult parts of parenting is disciplining children. It's no fun making rules, putting kids on restriction, taking away cell phones or other electronic devices. It's just not fun but we must do these things because we want to correct behavior. We love our children and we don't want them to grow up being irresponsible. We want them to grow up to be responsible citizens, so when they misbehave, we have to correct the behavior. They don't like it. We don't like it, but it's necessary and sometimes when our children don't understand. As children, we never really understood our parents’ corrections either. We would hold grudges against our parents when they took away our stuff or restricted us or wouldn't let us go to inappropriate parties. In this passage we are reminded that we shouldn't despise it when God corrects us. We shouldn't be upset when he disciplines us. He does this because he loves us. This passage says “for whom the Lord loves, He corrects." God is compared to a father who loves his son and corrects his son. Even though it's difficult to be corrected by the Lord, to be chastised by the Lord, we need to learn how to bear it and we need to see it for what it is: the correcting hand of a loving God who only wants what's best for us, who loves us and is trying to get us to walk on the right path.

I look at how many times I have fallen on my face and never wanted to get up. I listened as others plotted my demise and wished that I would stay down, but little did they know their desires for my failure only gave me strength. The Bible says, " For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again on the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen by Cephas, then of the twelve: The Resurrection of Christ. It is the core of my Christian belief. It is not that Christ went to the Cross or that He died and was buried in a borrowed tomb that is the crux of my faith. It is His glorious resurrection. Without it, there would be no Christianity. He would be another dead prophet to me. But the fact that He was raised from the dead...THAT is the foundation of my faith. That is where my hope comes from. It doesn’t matter what my circumstances are because Jesus was resurrected. It doesn’t matter who has left out of my life or how many times I have failed and have fallen - Jesus was resurrected. When I base my faith on that fact, it doesn’t matter what is going on in my life, it doesn't matter that my enemies line up against me and plot to destroy me my faith doesn’t falter because that fact never changes. If Jesus can rise from the dead then we can rise from our troubles. Jesus was resurrected from the dead, and therein lies the faith of ever Christian believer.

Thorughout my life I have come to except the fact that we will experience dark times in this life. Sadness and fear come in abundance in this life. Tragedy is going to come into our lives’ it's going to disrupt us in many ways. We may experience the death of a loved one. We may experience financial ruin, or just depression it that tends to overwhelm us. These things are just temporary; they don't last forever. Anger doesn't last forever. Sorrow doesn't last forever. But what we see in this passage is that the suffering will be temporary. In this passage, we are promised that joy will surely come in the morning. We may be sad today, but tomorrow joy come! We can find tremendous hope and comfort in this verse. We can take heart that the pain we endure here is temporary, for God is faithful to see us through.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Here we are told that a Christian, one truly "in Christ," is a new creature or new "creation" of God. The old life is gone; the new life in Christ has come. And even as God needed no help from us in creating the physical world, he alone brings into being that new state of grace called being in Christ. Sometimes the old us is hard to let go of, but if we fix our hearts and minds to trusting God in His beloved Son's name then we would began to witness the power of new creation. Trust the Heavenly Father and watch what He can do in your life by transforming you into the person He created for you to be.

I am a child of God!

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases... Psalms 103:1-3 Life moves fast these days, and so often it is hard to simply comprehend how fortune we are, for our health, friends or family etc. It is hard perhaps to do this, seeing as so often these immeasurable or intangible goods, these gifts from the Lord are so often squandered or easily quantified into comparing it with others. Nothing ultimately, is to be purchased from feelings of superiority or feeling one satisfied with oneself since others may not have been so fortunate. Truly valuing God’s gifts requires appreciating things for themselves, for their own intrinsic goodness and benefit, not in how they might compare to others. For in doing the latter, we in fact close our hearts and eyes to truly appreciating what is most valuable to us.

When God decides to move the best thing to do is get out of His way. Thank you Doctors of CHLA for standing up for me and my people.

Hebrews 10:24-25

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." I have found throughout my years that so many misinterpreted this scripture to fit their own selfish agenda. There is no doubt that we are encouraged to meet up with one another and fellowship as brotha's and sistah's, but it doesn't mean that we must by all means meet up in a building and call it church. Before the outbreak of COVID19 I would meet up with my brotha's and fellowship with them over a fat juicy burger and a ice cream float. But more important we would we encourage one another to love, live and do good works. Though we are unable to meet in person we still reach out to one another via text, phone or video chat just so we can lift each other up. You see the glory of Christ Jesus dwells within me therefore "I Am A Church!" Reach out to one another and invite one another to your church.

Some think I am free because I'm no longer in prison and yet they never been to prison, but they are not free.

"Why is it you're always smiling Tommy?" One of my co-workers asked. Sometimes I don't even notice that I am smiling or that my heart is filled with joy. I do practice to put on a good face even when I'm pi**ed at the world because I am one who believes that one shouldn't burden their issues on another. Truth is though I'm always looking to God and seeking my refuge in Him. This has always placed me in a position of peace and allow me to be at rest. I have learned that when others are looking crestfallen and hopeless, the people who look to God will look different. It’s in these times that people often come to Christians and ask them why they look so happy, and this always presents a perfect opportunity to evangelize. I'm constantly praying to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because I know that when I look at Him, in good and bad times, all will be well with my soul. I pray that in the harshest of times, that I may I be full of joy and may those around me notice so that I will be able to speak to them of the assurance I have in Him. I pray that this will compel those who are not saved, to seek Him.

Today mark the one year Anniversary of me being released from prison after serving 28 years, 4 months and 21 days incarcerated. More than half my life. I'm so grateful that after today I can no longer say, "This time last year when I was I prison..." Today officially marks my New Year 🎉🎊🎆🎇✨ and I'm just happy. I may not be in my ideal place but I'm no longer in that place. I am so grateful for God and His goodness in and surrounding my life. I know the best is yet to come.

Whenever God speaks you should be quiet and listen.

I used to think that life had a plan for me, until I realized life had to be planned by me. One can choose to sit around on their hands or they can get up and use them.

What if I was to tell you that the greatest enemy of yourself, family and your community is the devil. Would you believe?

It was the 1st of August in the year 2013 when i was blessed with a vision to creat Christ's Ministry called, "Holy Ground Ministry." I had met a young man, who a given his life to Christ, came running up to me and said, "Pastor, I got it. For now on everytime someone get in my face and I want to knock them out. I'm just gone say to myself, "I'm walking on Holy Ground." From that day I had decided that for every step I take towards His grace and mercy would be as if I'm walking on Holy Ground as well. You see there's no sin when you're walking with Christ Jesus. And He's always walking on Holy Ground and that's the truth.
