This would honestly probably work great for remote gaming services. There are open source streaming apps for Xbox (XBPlay), Play Station (Chiaki), et al. Steam In-Home Streaming has a Flatpak app. Hell, Steam itself has a Flatpak. Install MX Linux, Fedora, Linux Mint, Linux Mint Debian Edition, Pop!_OS, Ultramarine Linux, Endeavour OS, PCLinuxOS, Rhino Linux, Nobara, or any immutable distro (Vanilla OS, Endless OS, Fedora Silverblue/Kinoite), if you like. Proton-Up-qt, Steam, Heroic Launcher from Flathub, most distros have a GameMode daemon you can install from the graphical store while getting your Flatpaks, Bob's your Uncle. Even without GameMode, I get better performance running on Proton-GE Windows comatibility layer than I do native on Windows 10 for some games.

Seriously, I use MX Linux KDE, and if you are a Linux noob, MX Linux, Linux Mint, PCLinuxOS, or Ultramarine Linux are great. I've used all of those as a daily driver at one point in the past. Pop!_OS is another solid choice.

If you want something walled off and more difficult to screw up, like Android or actual Steam OS 3, then, HoloISO (the default for the AYANEO), WinesapOS (another Steam OS 3 fork), Endless OS, Vanilla OS, or Fedora Silverblue/Fedora Kinoite are more than up to the task. In these, the whole OS updates via incremental OTA, and the only apps you can install without unlocking the file system are via Flatpak.

Speaking of Android, BlissOS, PrimeOS, and a few others are 64 bit x86 builds of Android Open Source Project. If you plan to mainly use this thing for emulators and game streaming, consider one of those. Google Play and F-Droid are available for most systems like that.

Regardless, a lot of PC webcams, USB mics, and USB audio interfaces totally work with Linux these days. Just do a search on the web for what you have. You can totally stream your games to twitch with something like this, especially the Ryzen 7 version.
