I had to stop brewing for personal and professional reasons, but figured I'd show something to brighten your day not beer related. (Also one of my personal reasons I had to stop brewing.) 😂🍻 I hope to get back to it one day, but for right now my plate is full. Parker Scott Ward came in at 8 lbs 5 oz and measures 20.25" on January 16th at 12:00:00 AM to the second. Cheers to being a dad! 🍻
We bumped into some friends from Strong Arm Brew Works in Fredericksburg and gave me some goodies in the process. Unfortunately I came unprepared and didn’t have anything to share. 😂 if you haven’t made it down there to Dickinson, Texas you should! Great beer and great people! In the meantime the wife and I are celebrating our two year anniversary!
We have things in the work and hope to have some news in the near future on our next steps.
We had an AWESOME customer leave us a gift the other day. It was a brown ale they got straight out of Bastogne! You can read more about the story below! Cheers! 🍻 🍻
Thank you again! It was delicious!

Did you miss us yesterday? No worries! Come back through and gear up for playoff football with our Oktoberfest and coco pebble stout from 1-4! We sold a lot yesterday and we don’t expect what we have left over to make it through the day.
Yesterday we brewed our hazy ipa and made a little mess in the process. 😬 Good thing hoppy explosions smell delicious!
📢📢📢 is this still somewhat fall weather? Today we’re selling both a fall and winter beer! Come get your hands on our Oktoberfest and our rich, decadent 11% abv coco pebble stout “Special Relativity.” After dinner crack this chocolatey dessert open and enjoy this chilly weather. WE SELL FROM 2-6 PM TODAY!
Oktoberfest - $5
Special Relativity - $7
Hope 2023 has started off well for everyone and look forward to seeing all of you soon! Tomorrow we’re brewing our saison and the next batch will be…. A lemon meringue sour!!!
2023 started off… exciting. We canned our 11% cocoa pebble stout, “Special Relativity.” It’s so dark not even light can escape it! We channeled our inner childhood love for science and curiosity on this one. Along the way we found an unwelcome guest that was also feeling a little curious. It picked its favorite coozie at least? We love Lazy H Brick Oven Pizza too, but this one was a close call. 😂 (no animals were hurt while canning or posing for photos!)
1. Next weekend we kick off brewing for 2023 with a hazy IPA and saison.
2. We’ll be selling our stout and Oktoberfest next weekend as well.
3. Still working on keg distro
4. We’re closing in our desired capital needed to launch the brewery. We’ll continue to keep everyone up to date!
We ended 2022 strong. The last three months I’ve found a routine driving back and forth to Dallas every week so you’ll start seeing us back to selling much more! Thanks again and cheers to a new year! 🍻 🍻 🍻

Hello everyone!
I want to start off by thanking the individuals who have come out and supported the brewery over the last 12 months. It’s been such an adventure opening a business and meeting so many people in the process and getting to know their story.
At this point we’ve brought the brewery as far as we can on our own. We created the marketing, branding, stories, our purpose and mission, LLC, even the proper brewing permits and licenses. We believe the area is ripe for a family friendly craft brewery and local destination entertainment spot filled with live music, stand up comedians, trivia nights, Bingo nights, and so much more.
With that being said, we’re searching for investors that would be able to provide seed capital to help scale up our operation and become part owners of the 101st Brewery. I would be happy to further discuss over the phone or in person, as we have a business plan set in place and open for conversation. Please serious inquires only. Also, please do not comment with questions. If interested send me a direct message over Facebook and we’ll connect that way. You’re also welcome to email me at [email protected].
In the meantime, business will continue as usual. We’ll continue to brew great beer across the beer spectrum and transition over to taps based sales at restaurants and bars across the area. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support we’ve received. You are a testament to the appetite of craft beer that’s formed in southeast Texas, and couldn’t be more excited to be your local craft beer provider. Santa has come to town and approves of local craft beer! We were sure to tell him we wanted a bigger system for Christmas. We’ll have word from the elves on that very soon! The sun has come out and it’s making for a beautiful day. Make time to come out and support small businesses!
📣 📣 📣 We’ll be selling from noon to 4 PM today! Don’t let the weather stop you, it’ll be cleared up by 11 AM! Come out and support small business Saturday, and as always, support local beer! 📣 📣 📣
Happy thanksgiving, we all have so much to be thankful for here at the 101st. Your rights to freedom, life, and property come from our Creator, and our military is the first line of defense against people/governments that wish to take those. This weekend enjoy your Thanksgiving and keep veterans/active military personnel and their families in mind, and as always, support local beer.
And your eyes aren’t fooling you! You’ll start seeing this tap pop up in the area VERY soon. We’re really excited about getting our beer and brand to the public eye in a different way.
Also, this weekend is Market 535 and this one will be special. Having Santa out along with local craft beer will have everyone feeling very festive! 😂 Cheers everyone! 🍻 🍻 🍻
Best of luck to as they kick off the in and represent the red, white, and blue! Cheers! 🍻🍻
This Saturday we will have our SMASH IPA, “V FOR VICSECRET!” and our Oktoberfest at Market 535. Come out and support local businesses as we gear up for the holidays! Vicsecret is the hop we used for our SMASH IPA (Single Malt And Single Hop) that placed 3rd in our latest competition against other Houston breweries. You’ll smell heavy notes of grapefruit and stone fruit, but the taste is similar to a west coast IPA. There’s a bitterness that’s followed up with grapefruit stone fruit and even hints of pineapple. Hope to see you there!
“I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival..”
- Winston Churchill
Big shoutout to Gabbie with August Blush Boutique for the picture! Today was a huge success and super excited about the opportunity of doing events with non profits like Bridgehaven Children's Advocacy Center!
Next weekend we’ll be at Market 535 in Dayton with our SMASH IPA and our Oktoberfest! Come
by and say hello!
Come on out and see us today. We’ll be serving our IPA, “V for Vicsecret!” that placed third in our latest competition against some of the best breweries Houston has to offer! It’s a SMASH IPA with an aroma reminiscent of a hazy IPA with strong grapefruit and stone fruit notes and a flavor profile similar to a west coast IPA. It starts off with a very clean and smooth bitterness followed up with pineapple and pine flavors! Cheers! 🍻 🍻 🍻
11 AM - 4 PM
Dayton Community Center
I’m a little late on this but intentionally. We waited to allow all the details to emerge surrounding the incident in Dallas that took the lives of six generous and brave souls that donated their time to such a big piece of our shared history. If you have a moment, say a prayer for the families involved going through this.
The men referenced above include:
Terry Barker
Leonard “Len” Root
Curtis “Curt” Rowe

Happy Veterans Day to all men and women who have served! All of you are the first line of defense to rights given to us by our Creator! Be sure to enjoy a beer, thank a veteran!
The picture below is one of my favorites. This snapshot is of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne enjoying beverages after storming Hi**er’s ”Eagle’s Nest”, the very location Hi**er planned to conquer Europe from.
These men are the very individuals that have inspired us at the 101st Brewery. During the war they were an elite fighting force that could fight in any condition and remained flexible. At the 101st Brewery we aim to embody that by brewing high quality beer consistently across the beer spectrum.
Cheers to ALL veterans! 🍻🍻🍻 next week we’ll resume selling our beer. If you’re a veteran bring a form of ID that we can verify and you’ll receive a free beer on the house!
The reason why we haven’t been able to sell in recent weeks is due mostly to supply chain issues with cans and labels and operational changes as we transition to more kegs sales based as opposed to cans. You’ll see us on taps in the future around the Liberty area. And we also continue to work diligently on scaling up our operation.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported us, it means the world!
Wow what a great day!! We didn’t win todays competition, but placed well. We haven’t seen the official count but we placed either third or fourth out of 18 breweries in the Houston area which is REALLY exciting. More to come with the official numbers! Thanks to everyone that came out and tried our beer, and a special thank you to the ones who voted for us! We’re humbled by the idea that we have one of the top SMASH beers in the entire Houston area!
We’re packed up and rolling out! We hope to see everyone there! Come out to support local beer and businesses and stick around to support the Houston Astros!!

BIG news for our friends at Salt + Vine! Can’t wait!
Hey everyone! Don’t be mad that you missed our key lime cake sour collaboration with Sweet Cakes! We’ll have plenty more to come. This weekend we’re brewing our rice lager again and following that we’ll brew a sour. Open to ideas on this one? What do you think we should add to our sour? 🤔 🤔
Be sure to watch game one of the ALCS tomorrow at 6:30 PM CST, you may even see us on TV! In recent weeks we’ve closed the gap on getting financing to launch a bigger brewery in the area, more details to come. In the meantime I’ve worked to offer better variety of our beer by holding off on selling one batch at a time due to them being sold out within a a few hours. This way the next time you come in we’ll have a stout, SMASH IPA, Pilsner and an Oktoberfest!
Happy early birthday to my wife, Kora Ward!
I’ll leave everyone with my favorite depiction of any Yankees fan I’ve ever met. Even though there’s a side of me that hopes they lose tonight, I’d rather see them lose to the Astros. 😂
