Round Table Spotlight: Kathryn Marie Althauser of Boring Bookkeepers 🙌

This week's spotlight shines brightly on Kathryn Althauser, the dynamic owner of Boring Bookkeepers. Despite what the name suggests, Kathryn’s approach to bookkeeping is anything but boring, filled with creativity and meticulous attention to detail.

Coach Christy Austin highlights Kathryn’s dedication to helping business owners thrive by taking over the essential but tedious bookkeeping tasks. This allows entrepreneurs to focus more on what they love: building their businesses and enhancing customer relationships. 📚

For tax planning to be effective, it needs to be done before the end of the year.

Thankful Thursday,

I have talked in the past about hope difficulty creates resilience with in us.

Experiences are past tense.

How do we take the past and learn from it for present action, for future success/change?

I am thankful for reflection in my own journey.

What is the 80-20 Rule?

Carla Tardi explains it this way:
The 80-20 rule maintains that 80% of outcomes comes from 20% of causes.
The 80-20 rule prioritizes the 20% of factors that will produce the best results.
A principle of the 80-20 rule is to identify an entity's best assets and use them efficiently to create maximum value.
This rule is a precept, not a hard-and-fast mathematical law.
People sometimes mistakenly conclude that if 20% of factors should get priority, then the other 80% can be ignored.
---
How have you used this principle to improve efficiency in your business?

Fun examples
- 20% of clothes packed in a suitcase are worn 80% of the time.
- 20% of the hours in a workday yield 80% of the productivity.
- 80% of budget overruns are caused by 20% of expenses.
- 80% of your success comes from 20% of your ideas

Thankful Thursday!

Today I am grateful for the opportunity to present to my Networking Group.
Public speaking is not why I started my business but what a great exercise in doing it anyway.

"One of the great gift of sports is learning how to fail in public.

People never go to the gym because they're scared of looking stupid, never share their writing because they're scared of judgment, never open their heart because they're scared of rejection.

Sports train you to face your fear." -James Clear

Fun side story of the morning...

Our group likes to make it fun and have each individual play a pump up song before they present and this time I chose to sing a song that I have loved for a long time "My Funny Valentine." I probably sing it in my sleep. It was so fun to show case a secondary talent to this group and have such a fun, positive response.

Thankful Thursday!

Gratitude is not just a happy feeling.

Gratitude is a very often difficult conscious choice to look at your life and pick out one simple thing that keeps you going.

I am grateful that my daughters have come so far in their social anxiety.

I am grateful that I have a supportive family that loves me.

I am grateful that my husband chooses me every day.

I am grateful I live in a country where I have a voice and a choice to pursue my desires.

Your turn.

Thankful Thursday!

Today I am thankful for the love and commitment between my husband and I.
What a blessing it is to have someone come along side me just at I am. We are a work in progress navigating parenthood, work, life and deeply caring for each other all the way through.

We are individuals choosing to respect differences and to the best of our ability trying understand this other humans needs, wants, and desires. When we fall short of expectations, we always finding a way back to each other and to the focus and goal of our marriage.

I am thankful for my teammate and friend.
Happy anniversary week Anthony. I love you.
